Creative Assembly, the developer behind Alien: Isolation as well as the highly successful real-time strategy series known as Total War, seems to have its eye on satisfying its fans yet again at some point in the future, as the studio currently has another project in the works. As it so happens, several recent job listings have outed that the company is looking for a few new hires on a "first-person tactical shooter" project.

According to the posts, the team behind Alien: Isolation is "exploring new frontiers with a brand-new and exciting First Person Tactical Shooter IP," with Creative Assembly seeking a technical animator, senior UI artist, and technical artist for the project at the company’s Horsham, UK studio. Beyond these details, though, there's no telling exactly what else the forthcoming title will actually contain aside from shooter mechanics.

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first instance of a job listing being shared online that publicly unearths a fresh intellectual property from Creative Assembly. As a matter of fact, one from several years back posted a spot for applicants to fulfill an online/multiplayer programmer role requiring “thorough experience developing a range of online features” for a new “multi-platform AAA blockbuster.” Should this specific listing be related to the aforementioned ones stemming from the "First Person Tactical Shooter IP", then the next title in question could operate in the vein of a game like Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege.

All things considered, while Creative Assembly fans are surely thrilled at the prospect at a new tactical FPS from the company, it's safe to say that many have their fingers crossed for a potential followup to Alien: Isolation. Unfortunately, though, it's unlikely that such a project is in the cards at the moment, as the studio confirmed about a year ago that while a fresh project is indeed underway, a sequel to the franchise is not in development.

Alien: Isolation is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
