A Genshin Impact fan has shared a sad poem about losing a 50/50 on a banner that was apparently created by an AI. The game has a gacha-based system that allows players to pull for an item by spending Intertwined or Acquaint Fates, depending on the banner's type.

Each update in Genshin Impact consists of two separate banner cycles that feature different sets of limited characters for approximately three weeks. The banners in the first three Sumeru updates were a couple of days shorter, but HoYoverse went back to its usual schedule after version 3.3 dropped.

Genshin Impact runs on a pity system that guarantees a five-star drop within 90 wishes, but there is also a 50% chance that the five-star drop features one of the characters from the Standard Banner. This can be frustrating for a lot of players who could've been grinding for months just to get Qiqi or Jean instead of their desired limited five-star character. Reddit user 0relsewhat has shared a sad poem created by an AI that speaks about this matter. Even though character banners are much more popular in the game, the poem is about losing a 50/50 on a weapon banner.

Players seemed to like the poem as the post already reached over 2.2k upvotes on Genshin Impact's official subreddit. Even though 0relsewhat did not specify which AI they used, fans suspect that it's chatGPT, a chatbot created by OpenAI that specializes in developing dialog. These banners usually consist of seven different items, two five-star, and five four-star weapons. Genshin Impact's weapon banner has an 80-wish pity which makes acquiring a five-star weapon somewhat easier.

While this banner gives players a 75% chance to get one of the two featured five-star weapons, they can still fail to get their desired item. This means that there is a 37.5% chance that players get a specific weapon from the Limited Weapon Banner. The two currently available limited five-star items are the catalyst named Tulaytullah's Remembrance and Redhorn Stonethresher claymore.

The catalyst serves as the signature weapon for the Anemo user Wanderer who is one of the two new characters in Genshin Impact update 3.3. Players who want to pull for Wanderer should try to get this weapon as well as it perfectly suits his playstyle. Stonethresher is made for Arataki Itto who is considered the only five-star Geo character in the game at the moment.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
