All Elite Wrestling recently welcomed fans back to its shows, with live crowds on hand for episodes of AEW Dynamite and Rampage. As is typical of professional wrestling, fans have brought all kinds of signs to the show so they can get their word-in on live television. Lately AEW fans have taken to arguing about video games, specifically JRPGs, with one recent AEW sign claiming Final Fantasy 6's Kefka is a better villain than FF7's Sephiroth.

The AEW fans are continuing to argue about video games using their signs. The latest episode of AEW Rampage, which featured the long-awaited return of CM Punk to the world of professional wrestling, had a couple of different signs about video games. One that was fairly prominent was a sign complaining Dragon Warriors Monsters is better than Pokemon. Another, spotted just behind CM Punk's head throughout part of his return promo, claimed that Trails of Cold Steel is better than Final Fantasy 7.

Many of the AEW video game signs have focused on the Final Fantasy franchise. Some fans were arguing about the quality of Final Fantasy 8, with one arguing that Final Fantasy 10-2 is better than FF8. The signs have focused on other JRPG franchises as well, with one of the most controversial boldly claiming that the critically-acclaimed Persona 5 "sucks." It seems that this trend will be continuing for the foreseeable future on AEW shows.

The next AEW show is AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, August 25, which see CM Punk make his Dynamite debut. The next couple weeks of AEW programming will be building to the company's next pay-per-view event, AEW All Out, scheduled to take place on September 5 in Chicago. The All Out card is already looking pretty stacked, with Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Christian Cage and CM Punk fighting Darby Allin in his first pro wrestling match in over seven years.

There's quite a bit of momentum behind AEW right now, and it's likely that momentum will help fuel sales of the video game. The AEW video game is expected to launch at some point next year, with it being developed by former WWE 2K developer Yuke's. The WWF No Mercy director is also involved in the development of the AEW video game, and it will be interesting to see if all of these factors add up to making the AEW video game a hit when it launches.
