Many wrestling and video games fans are aware by now that the promotion All Elite Wrestling is releasing multiple AEW games. Multiple leaks and development updates about the AEW games had excited some fans of the genre, especially those who were disappointed by the recent WWE 2K games, and were likely even more excited when these were confirmed. With AEW entering the fray, WWE 2K is no longer the only promotion dominating this genre, and many fans are optimistic about what this means for wrestling video games.

AEW Games confirms three titles for upcoming games: AEW Elite General Manager, AEW Casino: Double or Nothing, and an untitled console game in the "No Mercy" style in partnership with Yuke's. Like with WWE 2K games, many players are expecting to see AEW fill its untitled console game's roster with fan-favorite wrestlers that people love to see onscreen and in the ring. And since AEW has seen a lot of positive reactions from fans and critics since it launched in 2019, there are already a variety of interesting personas that fans like watching.

Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega is known for his love of video games and has even cosplayed characters like Sans from Undertale to AEW matches, making him a great candidate for an entry in a wrestling game like AEW's games. He's also an executive vice president of the promotion, so it makes sense that he'd have an entry in AEW's game. He's well known for performing in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and even becoming the first non-Japanese wrestler to win NJPW's huge event the G1 Climax. He has a huge personality and a love of fan culture, so he could be a great entry and a fan favorite.

Chris Jericho

Decorated pro wrestler Chris Jericho also deserves to be included in any AEW game roster. While many people know Jericho and his rockstar persona best for appearing in the WWE for several years, he is currently signed to AEW. He also fulfills many other positions within the promotion, so his high level of involvement in AEW make him a prime roster candidate.

The Young Bucks

Matt and Nick Jackson make up this tag team and also serve as executive vice presidents for AEW, and their use of the superkick move has made them iconic in many people's minds. Like Kenny Omega, they performed with NJPW, where they all were well-known for their membership in the Bullet Club stable. The Young Bucks also performed in Chikara, the Ring of Honor, and Dragon Gate USA. Most recently, they won the AEW Tag Team Championship, making them very relevant in many fans of the promotion's minds right now.

Darby Allin

The current AEW TNT Champion is known for his half-painted skull face and tendency to take huge risks, both of which could bring a unique flavor to the AEW game rosters if he were included. And even if the first AEW game comes out after the next AEW TNT Championship and Allin potentially loses his title to a challenger, he's still a prominent member of the promotion and is considered a fan-favorite by many.

All Elite Wrestling has a lot more performers who have wowed audiences in the promotion, like Cody Rhodes, "Hangman" Adam Page, The Lucha Brothers, and the current AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida. The promotion has a lot of talent to choose from, and it will be interesting to see what the roster is made up of when more leaks and official announcements come out for AEW's video games.

Several AEW games are in development.
