This Sunday, AEW will put on their fourth Double or Nothing pay-per-view. The annual event will feature 4 championship defenses, as both Women's Championships and the World Championship will be on the line. As of the current card, the only championship that will not be on the line is the TNT Championship, which is currently held by Scorpio Sky who is in his second reign as champion.

In 2019, AEW held its first Double or Nothing event in Paradise, Nevada, the location for this year's event. For the past two years, AEW's Double or Nothing events have been held from their home base in Jacksonville, Florida due to troubles related to COVID-19. Aside from its championship matches, this year's Double or Nothing event will also include the crowning of the inaugural winners of the men's and women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

This is easily one of the most anticipated matches on the card. Wardlow has been under the services of MJF for years as a member of the Pinnacle. At the Revolution pay-per-view, Wardlow turned on MJF during his dog collar match with CM Punk. Since then, Wardlow has been publically ridiculed by MJF and in order to get this match, he was forced to take 10 lashes and participate in a steel cage match with Shawn Spears, with MJF serving as guest referee. Wardlow was victorious in his match with Spears and if he repeats this outcome on Sunday, he will be released from his contract with MJF. If he loses, he will be banned from signing a contract with AEW.

Jericho and Hager have history with Santana and Ortiz, who were all formerly members of the Inner Circle. This feud reached new levels of violence after the JAS burned Kingston's face. With everyone seeking revenge, the Anarchy in the Arena stipulation will be the perfect opportunity for these teams to hash out their issues.
