Since its inception, All Elite Wrestling has been closely linked to video gaming, with Kenny Omega dressing as a combo between Kirito from Sword Art Online and Final Fantasy 7's Sephiroth in the main event of Double or Nothing. The latest AEW wrestler to dress as a video game character is Brandon Cutler, who posted his impressive Captain Falcon cosplay on Twitter.

Cutler shared his detailed Captain Falcon cosplay (sewn by his wife) with the caption "Falcon PUNCH!" - a clear reference to the F-Zero character's most famous Super Smash Bros. attack. Cutler donned his Captain Falcon cosplay while at the CEO gaming tournament, which took place in Florida and actually hosted AEW's Fyter Fest event.

AEW Fyter Fest itself was full of video game references. For example, Kenny Omega once again dressed up as a video game character, this time paying homage to Akuma of Street Fighter fame. He was joined by The Young Bucks, who cosplayed as Ken and Ryu.

During the Fyter Fest pre-show, the person in charge of the CEO fighting game tournament, Alex Jebailey, even participated in a match. Jebailey fought Michael Nakazawa in a Hardcore Match that saw a variety of video game accessories used in the fight. This included a fight stick that was used as a weapon, plus a GameCube controller that Nakazawa used to strangle Jebailey.

Considering how many top people in AEW seem to like video games, it seems like it's just a matter of time before an AEW video game is announced. While AEW enthusiasts wait for an official video game, a fan has created an AEW video game concept that, if nothing else, shows that the wrestling company has a pretty impressive roster that could make for a fun video game.

Before AEW can get a video game out, it will need to keep building its brand. So far, the upstart professional wrestling company has enjoyed a great deal of success, selling out its big shows in mere minutes. The trick will be to keep the momentum going when AEW's TV show starts on TNT this fall.
