When Netflix canceled Tuca & Bertie, the new cartoon from the designer behind BoJack Horseman, fans were understandably distraught. Tuca & Bertie received a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and several major accolades, but Netflix still deigned not to support a second season. Luckily, Adult Swim has decided to rectify Netflix's decision.

Adult Swim, the nighttime programming block of Cartoon Network, made the announcement via its Twitter account this past week. "Let the party begin. A new season of Tuca and Bertie is coming to Adult Swim in 2021."  The tweet also tagged Lisa Hanawalt, the show's creator, as well as Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong, who voice Tuca and Bertie. It seems like the show's cast will be returning despite the delayed return.

Details regarding the second season of Tuca & Bertie remain mysterious. It's unclear if the new season will feature as many episodes as the first, which was 10, or if the story will continue from the end of the first season or if it will strike new ground. At this point, Tuca & Bertie fans probably are fine with anything. Believing a favorite shows is gone is a harsh experience, so they're likely just glad to have it back

Resurrecting canceled Netflix shows is an incredible rarity. Tuca & Bertie is just the second Netflix show that's been canceled to be brought back for a new season. The first being One Day at a Time, which is being brought back by Pop.

Tuca & Bertie season two will air on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network in 2021.
