Twitch streamer Adin Ross recently had a confrontation with a person that led to his security guard knocking the unwelcome visitor to the ground. As content creators gain popularity, they often likewise grow in the number of people who don’t wish them well or are perhaps a bit too persistent in their adoration, and it’s sometimes difficult to discern the difference. Since his return to streaming, Adin Ross has seen a jump in Twitch viewership and undoubtedly a proportionate increase in people who don’t appreciate his personality.

In April 2022, Adin Ross was banned from Twitch indefinitely, and though the reason was never clearly given, many attributed the punishment to the content creator allegedly using a homophobic slur on another streamer’s broadcast. However, little more than a month later, Ross’ “indefinite” ban was lifted and he returned to the platform in June.

All hasn’t been roses since his return to streaming, however, despite the increase in viewers. In August, Adin Ross was swatted during a Twitch livestream and armed police showed up at his house. On November 6, another “fan” approached Ross and reportedly attempted to attack him, which resulted in the content creator’s security guard Ant knocking the person down. There is no footage of the lead-up to the incident, though Twitter account Adin Updates shared an eight-second clip that briefly shows somebody laying on the ground while bystanders, including Ross, speak incoherently.

In the same Twitter post, a photograph shows a police officer standing over the alleged attacker, who is still on the ground with their arms behind their back. Though their eyes are closed, it’s unclear if the person is unconscious in the photo or if they ever actually were knocked out. While it’s not known what exactly prompted the altercation, another short video posted on Twitter by user chxppaintern shows Ross yelling profanities at somebody off camera. The two clips were posted on the same day, November 6, and the Twitch streamer is wearing the same clothes and necklace in both videos.

The content creator is certainly a controversial figure, which likely contributes at least in part to his popularity. In addition to the homophobic slur that got Ross indefinitely banned from Twitch in April, he has also been accused of misogyny and transphobia, with viewers sharing clips of his streams to support their claims. Some of these incidents have happened just recently, including on November 7, when Ross and popular Twitch creator Kai Cenat livestreamed themselves talking to different women in Discord calls and making comments that some viewers found offensive.
