A court date has been set for the divorce trial between Twitch streamers Felix "xQc" Lengyel and Samantha "Adept" Lopez. Although xQc denied he and Adept were married, a divorce trial is moving forward after the latter filed for it back in November 2022.

The saga of the pair's divorce has been steadily updating over the last few months, with the latest news coming out about them being that the legal filings Adept accused xQc of violating were prohibitions for him discussing the proceedings on his platform. These documents also revealed that contrary to his claim, the pair had been married from August 2020 to October 2022. They also revealed that the reason he cannot discuss the divorce is due to a set of rules included in a restraining order filed against him. Although some details have been made public, much of the affair has remained private, especially regarding how the case will be moving forward.

A new report has emerged concerning the Twitch streamers' divorce and reveals that a trial date has been officially set and is slated to occur on May 19, 2023, according to public records filed in Williamson County, Texas. They have also specified that one of the cited reasons behind the divorce is that the marriage was "insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities" that ruined the relationship to the point that "prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."

The report also mentions that they had stopped living together as a couple on October 31, 2022, and that xQc is not allowed to gamble on stream. This stipulation is especially interesting because while xQc has spoken out against gambling streams on his channel, citing that streamers should be held accountable for their actions and that bans should be enforced fairly, he had been previously known to gamble on stream before Twitch banned the category.

Despite the controversies and conflicts xQc is embroiled in, he has been working to maintain his public image. An instance of this happening recently was when he gave a massive tip during an IRL Twitch livestream, and whether acts like these are genuine or simply performative to maintain his popularity, they are effective in garnering positive coverage.

Both he and Adept still stream regularly on their channels but have remained silent on the split since around the time the legal filings took place. If more details about the case will emerge prior to the trial before the court is unknown, or if more will be made clear after everything has been finalized.
