The Oscars have been an essential part of movies for nearly one hundred years since the first best picture award was given out to Wings in 1929. The Academy Awards stand as the highest form of acknowledgment of those who give their blood, sweat, and tears to create breathtaking works of art in the film industry. Unfortunately, while the Oscars represent the best of the best, the other side of the coin exists to acknowledge the supposed worst of the worst. The other side of this coin is known as the Raspberry Awards, or Razzies for short. Each year following the Oscars, the Razzies hand out its fair share of awards for the worst of the year's movie performances. In 1981, Robert De Niro was nominated and took home the gold award for Best Actor for Raging Bull. However, much later, in 2016, De Niro would find himself nominated for worst actor for Dirty Grandpa.

While Depp and his performance received monumental praise, just a few years later, in 2017's fifth Pirates of the Caribbean sequel, Dead Men Tell No Tales, Johnny would be nominated for a Razzie for worst actor.

With a defining role in the cult classic musical, Grease, John Travolta kept moving to the front of the crowd with hit after hit with films such as Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction.

Travolta would find himself nominated for Best Actor for his role in Pulp Fiction. However, he would also find himself on the Razzies list for Swordfish and Domestic Disturbance.

Tom Hanks continued to grant audiences sidesplitting laughter and heart-wrenching tears ins a series of broad roles, from the spectacular performance in Forrest Gump to the hard-hitting Andrew Beckett in Philadelphia.

Having been nominated for Academy Awards multiple times, Hank's career and legend is set in stone. Unfortunately, there has been some scrutiny for the actor for his role in the recent live-action Pinocchio film from Disney which he was nominated for worst actor.
