To celebrate Ace Combat's 25-year history, developer Bandai Namco revealed that Classic Armament is making a return in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which is one of the better simulator games in recent memory. Of course, this is good news to veteran Ace Combat players, given that they will be able to return to some of the classic aircraft and weapons from previous installments in the franchise.

Apart from the return of the Classic Armament in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Bandai Namco is also offering a wide array of skins and emblems that should excite aviation enthusiasts. However, one important thing that players should know is that the Classic Armament and the new cosmetic items will not be free and will set players back $12.49 for the whole set. However, those who are only interested in adding aircraft to the game could do so separately for $4.99 each. Lastly, Bandai Namco is also adding a new Casual-Easy difficulty level in Ace Combat 7's Campaign Mode for free.

Aircraft & Weapon Combos:

CFA-44 “Nosferatu”

  • ADMM: All Direction Multi-Purpose Missile
  • EML: Electromagnetic Launcher
  • IEWS: Integrated Electronic Warfare System

XFA-27

  • SOD: Stand-Off Dispenser
  • MSTM: Multiple-Launch Standard Missile
  • IEWS: Integrated Electronic Warfare System

ASF-X “Shinden II”

  • RKT: Rocket Launcher
  • LASM: Long-Range Air-to-Ship Missile
  • 6AAM: 6 Target Air-to-Air Missile

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Bandai Namco added new planes in the game to celebrate its long history. Back in August, a DLC pack was made available in the game, which also added classic planes and some cosmetic items to the game.

Shortly after its release last year, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown received mostly-positive reviews given its exciting arcade-style combat that the franchise is known for, ever since the beginning of the series back in 1995. It's also worth noting that several months ago, Ace Combat 7 achieved an impressive milestone by selling over 2 million copies of the game.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unkown is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
