After three days of waiting, the Abandoned real-time experience app is officially going live soon. The exclusive PS5 app was delayed earlier this week, but now it seems like Blue Box Game Studios is just about ready to get everything rolling once again.

According to the official Blue Box Game Studios website, the highly anticipated patch for the Abandoned real-time experience app should be ready for download in "a few hours." This news comes after the patch was officially delayed two days ago into an unspecified time frame.

The entire situation revolving around Abandoned has been pretty odd, with many fans theorizing that the game is actually a part of a mass marketing scheme for Hideo Kojima's next project. This is no doubt aided by Kojima in a tweet yesterday that used the word "Abandoned" in the name of a horror story that he's been reading.

Abandoned Developers Claim App Will Go Live 'In A Few Hours'

What's more, the official Blue Box Game Studios Twitter account has been giving semi-regular daily updates on the progress and issues surrounding the launch of the Abandoned real-time experience app, but today deleted all evidence of the issues. Every tweet following the five-second video teaser on August 10 was deleted.

The Blue Box Game Studio website doesn't offer any additional details about when specifically fans can expect the patch to go live. In fact, there isn't really much to see on the website at all other than the studio's logo, a contact email, and now the message on the top banner that reads, "The issue has been resolved. The patch will be live in a few hours."

It seems like fans can't quite figure out what Abandoned is going to be. As previously mentioned, there's been plenty of speculation and theories that connect the project to Hideo Kojima and Konami, however, Blue Box founder Hasan Kahraman has denied such claims on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, the coincidences are just too great for many theorists to let go and take Kahraman and Blue Box Game Studios at their words.

No matter what the game ends up being, it seems as though answers will be given by the end of the day if the patch truly does go live in the next few hours. Whether Abandoned is secretly the next entry in the Silent Hill series or not, it's certainly gained quite the following due to the many theories surrounding its development and marketing. All that's left to do now is to wait for the patch to finally go live.

Abandoned is slated to launch in 2021 for PS5 and PC.
