Ever since Capcom announced Resident Evil Village's development, fans of the longtime survival horror franchise have been excited to see the return of series veterans Chris Redfield and Ethan Winters. However, much of the hype surrounding Resident Evil Village is not because of Chris or Ethan, but because of a new character that Capcom revealed recently named Lady Dimitrescu.

Shortly after her reveal in one of the game's trailers, Lady Dimitrescu quickly became a breakout star and is easily the most anticipated character from Resident Evil Village. Unsurprisingly, the fascination for Lady Dimitrescu inspired many fans to cosplay the upcoming character. However, a new cosplay by Yekaterina Lisina is probably the closest real-life recreation of Lady Dimitrescu.

Standing at 6'9", Lisina recreated Lady Dimitrescu as if the character stepped out of the video game into real life. Although her height still doesn't compare to Lady Dimitrescu who stands at 9'6", it is probably the closest one out there, especially since Lisina currently holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest professional model. Apart from the height, Lisina and her team also did an amazing job with the costume, makeup, and photography, which captured Lady Dimitrescu and Resident Evil Village's overall vibe and tone.

Given Lady Dimetrescu's newfound popularity, the character is definitely helping push the hype for the game, which is less than a couple of months away from release. In Japan, several retail stores have taken promotions to the next level by putting up life-sized cardboard cut-outs of Lady Dimitrescu. As previously mentioned, Lady Dimitrescu stands at 9'6" tall, so one can only imagine how massive these cutouts are. Although much of Lady Dimitrescu's story and involvement in Resident Evil Village remains unknown, it is clear that she will be a formidable character in the game and would likely reach or even surpass the icon status of other Resident Evil villains such as Nemesis and Mr. X.

In any case, it will be interesting to see just how terrifying Lady Dimitrescu truly is. If one were to take a page from previous Resident Evil games, it is more than likely that Capcom still has many surprises in store for players. For now, a demo for Resident Evil Village called Maiden is now available for the PS5. It has been reported that a second playable preview that is focused on gameplay will be released on all platforms later in Spring, shortly before the game releases.

Resident Evil Village is set to launch on May 7, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
