New 250 GB Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle Becomes Official

kinect 250GB 360 bundle

Kinect is coming in November and launching along side it is a 4GB Xbox/Kinect bundle, which really won't suit your hardcore gaming habits. What you need is that glossy 250GB Xbox bundled with that awesome motion camera called Kinect, but it's too bad that that bundle hasn't been announced -- until today!

Microsoft has finally confirmed that they will also be pushing out a 250GB Xbox bundle packaged with Kinect, that will also launch simultaneously with the smaller 4GB bundle. The 250GB Xbox 360/Kinect bundle includes the brand new slim black 360 with a gloss finish, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, a built-in 250GB hard drive, the Kinect sensor, and a copy of Kinect Adventures! so you can start playing with your new Kinect as soon as it's out of the box. This package will cost $400, which will save you $50 if you decided to buy both the $300 slim 250GB 360 and the $150 Kinect separately.

Now, this all sounds like a pretty awesome deal if you were looking to upgrade and get that potentially awesome wingman known as Kinect, but the only problem is that this bundle will only be available for a limited time. So if you really want to secure one of these then you can go to the nearest GameStop and reserve it right now to ensure that you will capitalize on this deal. I'm sure that Kinect won't suddenly go Wii and disappear for a year before they start to become a regularly stocked item, so don't worry too much about throwing advanced cash at the bundle - just keep in mind that it is a limited time offer.

I think that the Kinect has some serious market potential and I'm excited to see how well it goes over with the non-gaming consumer, but only time will make or break Microsoft's motion camera. I know that I'm going to be picking up this bundle once it becomes available on November 4th, but I'll also have to fork over another $20 for a hard drive transfer cable. Oh Microsoft, the things I'll do for you and your new "whisper quiet" 360.

Is this 250GB Kinect bundle more your caliber? Do you feel Kinect has the mass market appeal Microsoft is hoping for?
