Video games and nudity have an odd relationship as different platforms have different rules as to what bits games can and cannot show. That difference between platforms is perhaps best showcased with the upcoming releases of 20 Ladies on the Switch and 20 Bunnies on PlayStation consoles.

20 Ladies is an upcoming platformer from Eastasiasoft known for its previous lewd titles like Hentai Vs. Evil, Wife Quest, and the Pretty Girls series and, like some of its other titles, 20 Ladies is not shying away from nudity with its release on the Nintendo Switch. Essentially, each time a player clears a simple platforming level, they get to view "an alluring image." The game's release on PS4 and PS5, however, is being completely revamped to meet the restrictions that Sony has on graphic nudity to the point where 20 Ladies becomes a completely different game on the platform.

Instead of being a platformer about collecting various numbers of naked women on each level, PlayStation's version of the game replaces all of the scantily clad ladies with completely clothed anthropomorphic bunnies and changes the title accordingly to 20 Bunnies. Sony has a history of censoring sexual content and nudity on its platform, so it makes sense that 20 Ladies wouldn't be published in its original form. However, entirely redesigning the game around rabbits instead of nudity seems like a little bit of overcorrection on Eastasiasoft's part.

All that said, the over-the-top nature of the correction could be seen as a blatant jab from Eastasiasoft at Sony's restrictive content censorship requirements. Based on Eastasiasoft's other lewd titles, it seems like the studio is no stranger to Sony's content restrictions so it's very possible that the two games were developed to point out the perceived absurdity of the company's censorship. The stark difference between the two games is clearly illustrated in their trailers which feature gameplay from both titles: one including safe for everyone bunnies and the other including the not safe for work women.

The games themselves don't have much to offer other than some basic seeming platforming akin to a much simpler and less challenging version of Super Meat Boy as 20 Ladies and 20 Bunnies features a square protagonist making their way through rotating saws and spike traps. Although the games feature platforming elements, they're hardly the things that are drawing fans to the titles before their November release date.

20 Ladies will release on November 19 for Nintendo Switch. 20 Bunnies will be available for PS4 and PS5.
