The original Just Cause may not have been the most successful open world game to drop this generation, but aside from some glaring flaws, it was a fresh game that made the player feel like he was living an action movie. With the ability to ride on the hoods of cars, hang off of the wings of fighter jets and fly off the back of motorcycles by unleashing your parachute, Just Cause provided an unparalleled feeling of badassery.

How could the sequel, aptly named Just Cause 2, top this? Watch this brand new trailer posted by the folks over at GameSlave.

Done changing your pants? Wonderful. Not only does the game look absolutely beautiful, but it looks as if the new grapple hook is going to give the player even more freedom to move the character and fight in any way you please. I for one can't wait to try out this new addition. If it handles as smooth as it looks in the trailer, I have a feeling that we'll be seeing this technology in many future games.

Like the first game, Just Cause 2 is all about the stunts. With the new grapple hook, the possibilities will be endless. Diving out of an airborne jet onto an attached motorcycle and then proceeding to flip the vehicle until you hit the ground and continue on your way unscathed. That's what the Just Cause series is all about, and I can guarantee that Just Cause 2 will give you even more reason to let out your inner stuntman. Here's hoping for an in-game replay editor.

Set to drop sometime in 2010, you can bet we'll have all the new details on Just Cause 2 as they surface.

Do you feel that this new addition will be enough to sell the game? What crazy stunts do you plan to try out once you get your hands on the grapple hook?
