Halo is synonymous with Xbox, and Master Chief is the protagonist of the series. Halo Infinite is scheduled to release holiday 2020 and we couldn't be more ecstatic. Very little is known about the game, but we do know it's going to be a spiritual reboot. It's going to be considerably different from Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. Rumors suggest Halo Infinite is going to be the most expensive ever made with an over $500 million budget.

With so many impending changes, we can't help but wonder what the final product will look like. Gears of War 5 was an eye-opener, which shows us that Microsoft isn't playing around with their leading franchises. To help us get a sense of what Halo Infinite could look like, we've compiled a list of what we want to see in the game. These are 10 things we want to see in Halo Infinite.

10 Halo Community Maps (Custom Game Browser)

Halo contains one of the most intuitive map creators known as the Forge. In Forge, players can use Halo's vast database of assets to create the most unique levels. With the ability to add things like respawn points, weapons, miscellaneous items, and vehicles, Forge mode is something we need in Halo Infinite. Of course, PC Forge creations should be shareable with Xbox consoles. Furthermore, Halo Infinite should bring back the Custom Browser to allow players to play other players' creations. What's the point of having an advanced level creator if you can't share your creations?

9 New And Creative Vehicles

Halo Infinite's vehicles should look nothing like whatever is shown in the above photo (not a Halo vehicle). At the same time, Halo Infinite's designers should strive for creativity by bringing a new lineup of transports for replay value. To this day, people are replaying the original Halo trilogy because of its memorable vehicles. The launch of the Warthog in the first game was groundbreaking. Bring back some of the original Halo awesomeness by adding innovative vehicles.

8 Playable Elites

Since the beginning of Halo, Elites have rivaled Master Chief, trying to outmaneuver him at every turn. As the Arbiter in Halo 2, players gained a new perspective as one of Halo's most recognizable characters. Please, give us another opportunity to play as an Elite. Also, bring back Brutes and make them playable characters. Brutes are some of the most fierce and intimidating opponents we've seen in Halo yet. Playing as Fireteam Osiris was fun, but playing as a team of Covenant Brutes and Elites would be stupendous.

7 A Story That Focuses On Master Chief

A significant amount of people would like to see the Halo campaign as it was in its early years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Playing as Master Chief is fine by Halo fans. Keep the story focused on Master Chief and less on an alternate storyline. Judging by how many cliffhangers they left, there's a strong chance that the squads from Halo 5: Guardians will return. As reported by gamesradar.com, "In Halo Infinite, the game will focus on the Master Chief and continue his saga after the events of Halo 5," studio head Chris Lee wrote in a blog post." Going back to its roots can only be good since the original three Halos are masterpieces.

6 Gameplay At Stable 4K 60 Frames Per Second

halo

Judging by how optimized Halo 5: Guardians was for Xbox One, we can assume 343 Industries will do the same for Project Scarlett (the next Xbox console). Halo Infinite is expected to release around the same time as Project Scarlett during holiday 2020. What specifications Halo Infinite will have is unknown at this time. We can assume it will have options for 4K and 60 frames per second. Having both at the same time, however, would be an awe-inspiring accomplishment.

5 More Blood And Gore

What Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians lacked, among other things, was blood and gore. Although it had some blood, Halo 5: Guardians was given an ESRB rating of T for teen because of how mellow it was. The original Halo had horror elements, making it one of the most gripping games in the series. Halo Infinite should be rated M for Mature like Gears of War 5. Bring back the Doom-style horror elements and don't ease up on the blood and gore.

4 No Loot Boxes Or Microtransactions

Please, 343 Industries, ease up on the loot boxes and microtransactions. Removing them entirely is not out of the question. We know that Halo Infinite will have a Battle Royale mode similar to games like Fortnite, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, and Apex Legends. If they add loot boxes and microtransactions, it might ruin the game. Allowing content to be unlocked through achievements is good. Forcing players to pay money to unlock the bulk of the game's content (like in Halo 5: Guardians) is not okay.

3 A Stable Launch Free From Bugs

Were not referring to those bug-like creatures from the Flood, but instead are referring to glitches in the game. Ideally, a video game should be finished when it launches and improved through updates. Releasing unfinished games happens way too often. Halo: The Master Chief Collection had horrible problems at launch, making the game virtually unplayable. Matchmaking put players in a select few maps, the campaign's achievements didn't work correctly, and networking issues plagued the collection. It would be unforgivable if Halo Infinite had issues comparable to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

2 More Destructible Environments

Games like Battlefield: Bad Company are recognized for their achievements in environmental destructibility. People still play Bad Company to this day because of features like environmental destruction. We want to see more interactive environments in Halo Infinite to bring realism to the series as we've never seen before. In past Halos, Warthogs explode in the correct way by flipping and engulfing in flames. With a graphical upgrade, Halo Infinite should contain bigger and more realistic explosions. It's not what we need, but it's what the people deserve.

1 Bring Back Dual Wielding!

Halo 2 is widely recognized for making online console gaming commonplace. It was the first exceedingly popular online game when it launched for the original Xbox. Among other things, Halo 2 is credited for introducing dual-wielding to the series. Dual-wielding was also possible in Halo 3, but for some reason, it was removed from Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. This one seems like a no-brainer. Bring back dual-wielding and all its awesomeness for Halo Infinite.
