With the Arkham games essentially being done, Batman fans have been keeping their fingers crossed for a while that there will be another entry in the Dark Knight's long lineage of video games. Now, it looks as if another title starring the Caped Crusader could eventually be making its way into the marketplace in the near future–that is, if a recent post from an employee at WB Games Montreal is actually teasing as much.

As seen in the tweet below from WB Games Montreal Assistant Producer Valerie Vezina, she expressed her gratitude last month for being able to work alongside some great team members by writing, "best. DevTeam. EVAR.". However, what's most intriguing is the image of her wearing a t-shirt with an owl emblem emblazoned on the back, which bears a striking resemblance to an owl symbol found in DC Comics' run of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Batman: Court of Owls.

Although the image on Vezina's shirt and the owl crest from the comic book aren't an exact match, its worth noting that both of the fowls' poses are identical in nature. Furthermore, it's decidedly curious that she would post the image online, especially with there being myriad rumors swirling that WB Games Montreal is working on a new Batman game. Several months ago, for instance, the developer shared a job listing for a User Researcher to work on a games-as-a-service title with co-op elements, sparking speculation that the project in question is an open world co-op Batman title.

While it definitely looks as if all signs are pointing toward WB Games Montreal's next title being Batman-related, it's best to reserve judgement on the matter until the studio officially announces as much. To be fair, there's also a chance that Vezina's shirt is making a reference toward the new Harry Potter game in development. After all, owls play a large role in J.K. Rowling's fantasy series.

Taking everything into consideration, though, it's difficult to not think of WB Games Montreal as being synonymous with the Batman brand, as the developer's most well-known product is 2013's Arkham Origins. And since Rocksteady Studios has already stated that it won't have anything to show at The Game Awards 2018, perhaps WB Games Montreal will be using the annual event as a means to unveil what it has been working on. The show's creator, Geoff Keighley, has promised 10 new game reveals at TGA 2018, so there's no doubt that Batman fans will be holding out hope for the debut of a fresh title centered around the World's Greatest Detective.

WB Games Montreal's Batman: Arkham Origins is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360.
