Game Ranter Banter: Zelda, Spike VGA Problems, Post-Launch Games Support & MGS: Revengeance
'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the internet, not a writer was stirring, except for the five people who contributed to the Game Ranter Banter. Okay, so maybe that last part didn't rhyme, but we'll make up for it with some awesome opinions on the latest gaming news!
This week the Game Rant crew discusses the future of The Legend of Zelda, the Spike Video Game Awards, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and how long developers should support their games post-launch. Join us an share your thoughts!
“I’d rather suffer through the tea-bagging and fruit slicing, if it means some cool trailers.”
- I commend your bravery but if you do change your mind there IS always YouTube. I gave up on the show the first time i saw it, i realized that very night and every other year afterwards that it’s a Joke. A smart business ploy if anything. Spike is definitely making a good chunk of change each passing year with the ratings, exploiting all the gamers/fans that tune in, publicity and more importantly from their numerous sponsors. I feel sorry for anybody that considers this a legit awards show..
‘Support Gunner’
- Can’t say that its premature if there aren’t many players to support sadly. Unfortunately i know how this feels though. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m probably one of a handful of people that may frequent this site that still plays KZ2/3..
‘Splitting The Series’
- Smart move on removing ‘Solid’. Very smart I’ll say. I felt underwhelmed by the trailer, not that i was really forward towards it either way but it felt like i a Dynasty Warriors more than anything..
‘Spike Video Game Atrociousness’
- Well said, well said indeed. Couldn’t agree more. Although i would rather they Stop producing the show and hand it over to someone else whom actually has something to do with video games like G4TV but that ain’t gonna happen anytime soon. Oh well, thankfully ladies and gents there is Youtube so you won’t have to wait long for that trailer you missed…
I guess it would depend on what a lot is, definitely not COD or BF numbers for sure but the game still has a pretty dam good following with a good amount of people that still play it even though the two biggest FPS of the year came out. Shockingly enough i see more and more newer people playing it everyday but even so, sadly, it’s STILL underrated and underplayed by the gaming community as a whole IMO…
‘An Honor Just To Be Nominated’

Are there still a lot of people playing KZ3? I loved that game when it came out but unfortunately haven’t had the time to play it.

Oh yea of course, I wouldn’t expect COD/BF numbers, but as long as there are still people playing it that’s good, it really is an underrated game.
