Players that enjoy Zelda lore should definitely hunt down all four volumes of Purah's journals. These diaries will provide some insight into various important locations and characters present in Tears of the Kingdom. Below, fans can find the location of all of Purah's diaries without any spoilers.

  • Volume #1 (Central Hyrule): The first diary is in Purah's room in Lookout Landing (coordinates: -0232, 0152, 0039). To reach Purah's room, players have to enter the study above the Tech Lab and climb up the two sets of ladders.
  • Volume #2 (West Necluda): The second diary is in Paya's room in Kakariko Village (coordinates: 1775, -0986, 0129). It's on the top floor of Paya's residence, the large house near Lantern Lake.
  • Volume #3 (East Necluda): The third diary is in Purah's room in Hateno Village (coordinates: 3784, -2126, 0272). Players can find it if they go up the spiral staircase on the roof of the Tech Lab.
  • Volume #4 (Deep Akkala): The fourth diary is in the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab (coordinates: 4512, 3164, 0247). It's on top of a bookshelf by the door; Link can interact with the diary by climbing on top of one of the wooden boxes next to it.

Since finding Purah's diaries isn't linked to any quests on the Adventure Log, players won't be rewarded in-game for searching for them, so they might not want to go look for the volumes themselves. Here is a summary of the contents of each one of Purah's diaries:

In Volume 1, Purah talks about the stairway that can be found beneath Hyrule Castle, and how Zelda immediately volunteered to investigate. She remarks that whatever lies underneath the castle must be a deep and ancient secret since not even the royal family seemed to be aware of its existence.

In Volume 2, Purah recalls when she and Robbie worked at the Royal Tech Lab, 100 years before. She misses the relationship they had with Zelda and Impa; the two would always cover for them when it came to testing their notorious quirky experiments.

In Volume 3, Purah explains what happened to her between the events of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, the reason why she no longer has the appearance of a child. She grew tired of looking so young and being unable to reach higher shelves without the use of a jetpack and decided to take an aging booster to take on the form of her 20-year-old self.

In Volume 4, Purah talks about the Purah Pad's Camera feature and discusses the possibility of one day everyone in Hyrule owning their own Purah Pad.
