It's no secret that the PS4 is currently leading the eighth generation console sales competition between itself, the Xbox One, and the Wii U. Month after month, the PS4 is the top selling console, and while the Xbox One has managed to sneak in a few victories here and there, it continues to lag behind overall.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer is doing his best to try to make the Xbox One the top console of 2015, bringing to the table what he considers to be the greatest exclusives lineup in the history of the Xbox brand. Despite these efforts, there are still many gamers that have yet to pull the trigger on an Xbox One, but an epic new Xbox One holiday bundle just might change their minds.

As announced today, a new 1TB Xbox One holiday bundle is coming in October for $399. What makes this bundle stand out from others is the sheer value that it offers, as purchasers of this bundle will receive three huge Xbox One games, that altogether technically amount to 36 unique titles. There are 30 games that make up the excellent Rare Replay collection, there's the potential for all five Gears of War games, and then to top it all off, the critically-acclaimed Ori and the Blind Forest is also included in the bundle.

Anyone that purchases the bundle between now and the end of the year and plays the included Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox Live will receive access to the Xbox 360 versions of the first Gears of WarGears of War 2Gears of War 3, and Gears of War: Judgment for free. This is possible thanks to the Xbox One backward compatibility with the Xbox 360, which was announced a few months ago during Microsoft's E3 2015 press conference.

In anticipation of the holiday season, Microsoft has other Xbox One bundles planned besides this one that also offer quite a bit of value. For example, a 1TB Xbox One bundle with both the Tomb Raider reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to release in November, and a Halo 5 Xbox One bundle is coming in October as well.

Not to be outdone, Sony has also been releasing a multitude of bundles for the holiday rush, including a Destiny: The Taken King PS4 bundle that has proven to be very popular. All things considered, it should be interesting to see which console comes out on top in terms of sales in the coming months, with all these high value bundles on the market.

This new 1TB Xbox One holiday bundle is perhaps the biggest push for the Xbox One to date, and the value presented here is undeniable. Anyone that is planning on buying an Xbox One in the near future should probably wait for this bundle to hit store shelves, as it will offer the most bang for their buck by a considerable margin.
