There's two things that are always a certainty at large gaming conventions: there's going to be big gaming booths, and there will be a plethora of swag and collectible items. To celebrate PAX Prime 2015, Microsoft is stepping up to the plate and delivering seven different kinds of unique Xbox One controllers, consoles attached, to a select number of lucky fans who win their PAX Sweepstakes. While it doesn't look like the consoles themselves are decorated, the unique paint job on the seven controllers make them a high-value collectible for any Xbox fan.

The controllers come painted in themes for a variety of upcoming Xbox games, all of which are sequels. The games are Fallout 4, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.

There are two ways to enter the contest: one is for fans attending PAX Prime, and the other is for everyone who has a Twitter account. Those at the Seattle-based convention can either Instagram or Tweet a photo from the event with the hashtags #xboxsweepstakes and #xbox. Users must then follow @xbox on Twitter or Instagram to enter the contest. For those not within the walls of the Washington State Convention Centre, they can retweet a specified tweet and follow the official @Xbox account.

According to the official rules, the contest is only open to US Residents who are over 18, so anyone who flew internationally to get to PAX Prime will only get to look at the controllers as they rest on display within the Xbox booth. The designs seem pretty stellar, so we can only hope we might see some get a limited commercial release at a later date - after all, we can never have enough Fallout 4 swag.

The contest will help build up hype for a number of Xbox One releases, most which come out this year. Halo 5: Guardians is due out in late October, while Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider are both out in November, with Rainbow Six Siege arriving December 1st in what is expected to be a hectic holiday season. And finally Garden Warfare 2 and Mirror's Edge will both come out in early 2016. Although a Gears of War 4 controller would have really tied off the nice collection, the seventh controller is an IGN-sponsored controller as opposed to an individual game promotion.

The contest officially runs from August 28 to August 31, which are the same days PAX Prime 2015 itself will be open for business. Tickets have already sold out for the event.

Controllers aside, it looks like the Xbox booth will have plenty of entertainment for the masses: gamers will be able to check out Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza 6 all within the booth.

What do you think about the collectible controllers, Ranters? Which one is your favorite?
