Xbox’s Games with Gold selection, at least some of it, is currently available for subscribers to claim. For now, that means Moving Out (which is available on the service November 1-30) and Rocket Knight (November 1-15). Later this month, Kingdom Two Crowns will join on November 16 and run through December 15, while LEGO Batman 2 is available from November 16-November 30 as part of Xbox's Games with Gold for November 2021.

In short, these games are a pretty good selection for fans this month, but perhaps more importantly, basically each of these games is great for co-op fans. Of all four, Rocket Knight is the only title available via Xbox Games with Gold that doesn’t support co-op, and the bad part is that it certainly feels like it should. It’s a solid non-co-op game that feels perfect for co-op, but at the very least, the other three games this month do.

Xbox Games with Gold for November 2021 Co-Op Games

Each game, of course, features its own twist on co-op because each game is drastically different. In Moving Out, it’s the more arcade-style of co-op gameplay as players work together to get all the furniture, boxes, and more out onto the loading van—it is a game about moving out, after all. Kingdom Two Crowns, which joins on November 16, is far from this gameplay style.

In it, it’s more strategic in nature and has a lot more options in terms of local and online co-op play. The main draw of co-op in Kingdom Two Crowns is how players work together to run one kingdom, effectively managing both sides of it. This leads to the ability to have two different mounts, the ability to store even more coins and gems, and manage the entire kingdom at the same time. Plus, if one monarch loses the crown but the other doesn’t, they can craft the other monarch one for 8 coins. The Greed will ignore the crownless monarch until they are restored.

And, in the other corner, there is the classic sandbox-style co-op gameplay found in LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes. LEGO games pretty much have down pat what they do with co-op, and it’s a pretty standard formula. Yet, it also ascribes to the idea that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The LEGO games’ sandbox style of co-op gameplay is fun, and that’s all that matters. If someone picked up the last LEGO Batman game available on Games with Gold, then they pretty much know what to expect.

Not to mention, It Takes Two is coming to Game Pass on November 4. That's been hailed as one of the best co-op games of the year, and if someone has Xbox Live for GWG, chances are they have Game Pass too (Ultimate). Overall, it seems Xbox and Microsoft wanted to put the spotlight on co-op fans this month, with it being an overall rewarding scenario for anyone and everyone who loves or enjoys co-op games.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers get a handful of free games every month.
