E3 2015 is less than a month away, and gaming's giants have begun finalizing their plans for the event. Gamers should be very excited, as this year, every presentation has potential.

Microsoft's presentation in particular has a ton of potential to be spectacular this year. Microsoft is hoping to make up the lost ground that the PlayStation 4 has over the Xbox One, meaning that they're technically the underdog in this situation, so they have a lot more reason to invest in a huge E3 event. They will likely officially unveil the leaked Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and we know for a fact that Rare's new game will be at the event as well. On top of this, expect loads of new info on plenty of previously announced games, including the biggest Xbox One exclusive to-date, Halo 5: Guardians.

We now know the amount of time Microsoft expects to squeeze all these games in. Responding to a fan on Twitter, Phil Spencer has confirmed just how long Microsoft's E3 2015 press conference will be this year, stating that it will last for 90 minutes, which is roughly the length of many feature length movies. That being said, Sony's E3 press conference will likely be around the same length as Microsoft's, considering that there are plans to show it in literal movie theaters all over North America.

One would expect that 90 minutes would be enough for Microsoft to fully indulge all its future Xbox plans, but a follow-up Tweet from Spencer has revealed that even with 90 minutes, Microsoft has had to edit its presentation down. During a practice session of the press conference, Microsoft discovered that if it included all the games it wanted to show, the showcase would surpass the 90-minute running time. Xbox owners should be very excited then, as this means that there's a plethora of content for the system on the way, which will include new IP and more first-party titles.

While having to cut out some games in the press conference is disappointing, Microsoft will have another chance this summer to show them off, unimpeded by their main competition, Sony. Sony will not be at Gamescom, but Microsoft will, after sitting the last couple of years out. Gamescom provides the perfect opportunity for MS to make up for anything it had to leave out of its E3 press conference.

Microsoft clearly has big plans for this year's E3 event. The company is lagging behind considerably in the race for sales against Sony, but it has had some successes along the way, such as being the best-selling console in April. E3 is the time when all eyes in the industry will be on them, and that's when they need to show everyone why they should buy an Xbox One. Expect Microsoft to come out guns blazing at E3, as it may just be its biggest one to date.

Microsoft's E3 2015 press conference is scheduled to take place on June 15th at 9:30am PDT. It will be viewable through a variety of platforms, including the official Xbox website, the Xbox Live Events player on Xbox 360 or Xbox One, and live on Spike TV.
