Former UFC Women's Bantamweight and WWE Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey has never been one to mince her words. The Rowdy One has regularly taken shots at her opponents, whether it was fellow MMA star Meisha Tate or WWE's "Man" Becky Lynch. However, her focus turned to the WWE fanbase after fans voiced their displeasure at the release of Bray Wyatt online and WWE's return to Chicago for Monday Night Raw.

Rousey appears to have put the blame on the WWE fans for Wyatt's release in one of her latest Twitter posts. Her post follows an episode of Monday Night Raw where a vocal crowd chanted "CM Punk" and "We Want Wyatt" multiple times during the show, the latter of which drew Rousey's ire.

Rousey accuses the fans chanting "We Want Wyatt" as being the same chanting "we want beach balls" and trying to hijack shows while talent were in the ring, calling fans "ungrateful idiots" who were to blame for Wyatt's booking.

Criticizing the WWE fanbase is not a new action for Rousey. Following 2018's Survivor Series where she was booed heavily following her match with Charlotte Flair, she criticized fans on social media for their seemingly fickle attitudes towards her. She has since stepped away from wrestling to focus on family, as Rousey is expecting her first child with husband Travis Browne.

Bray Wyatt was released from his WWE contract on July 31, a decision which reportedly caught many in WWE by surprise. He is the latest on a growing list of WWE releases during 2021 which includes newly minted AEW stars Malakai Black and Andrade el Idolo, along with Braun Strowman, Buddy Murphy, Lana, the Iiconics, Mickie James, Ruby Soho, Tyler Breeze, and Fandango. While many are still held under 30 to 90 day non-compete clauses, others have managed to get out of them and have already appeared for several promotions such as Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Ring of Honor.

On one hand, Rousey's criticism of fans trying to hijack shows is not completely unwarranted. Many wrestlers have voiced their own frustrations in the past about it and how it can ruin their focus during matches or promos. Some wrestlers have even confronted fans for it, like when Cesaro ran into the crowd during a tag match to pop a beach ball during an episode of Raw.

That being said, it's also fair to argue WWE management is more at fault for Wyatt's inconsistent booking during his 12 year run with the company. Wyatt's most recent run serves as an example of this, as his new "Fiend" character was met with almost universal praise when it debuted during the first Firefly Funhouse segments in the summer of 2019. However, fans began souring on WWE's presentation of "The Fiend" after the largely panned main event at 2019's Hell in a Cell. Fan vitriol toward WWE grew following the Fiend's lose to Goldberg at WWE's 2020 Saudi Arabia show and his lose to Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 37.

It is not known if Wyatt is subject to a 90-day non-compete clause, but speculation is already running rampant about what his future may hold. Many fans are speculating he may be the next ex-WWE star to join AEW, which is rumored to have signed for WWE Champions CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.
