‘WWE All Stars’ DLC Revealed, Along With Pre-Order Bonus

WWE All Stars DLC

WWE All Stars is almost here and wrestling gamer fans are eagerly anticipating the new title just as much as some of the Game Rant crew are. The unique departure from the normal SmackDown vs. Raw ultra-realistic style has potential buyers both curious and interested in how it will play out. The addition of the Fantasy Warfare mode certainly increases the replay value with dream matches already made, and the new announcement of DLC may increase that value further.

Three characters have been announced so far for the first WWE All Stars DLC. The first of which is one who is simply legendary. He is the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion, holding it for well over a year, wrestling countless five-star matches while Champion. His technical prowess is second to none, matched only by his charisma and popularity. Fans today still regard him as one of the greatest to never break through the glass ceiling and become a world champion, and his name has become synonymous with “immortal.” Ladies and gentlemen… the Honky Tonk Man.

Yes, this April you can add the lovably devious Elvis impersonator to your roster via DLC. And the best part is that it is absolutely free to do so. One can only wonder why WWE would seemingly give this character away. After all, anyone can see that they would make millions of dollars even if you only had to pay a dollar for the legendary Honky Tonk Man.

It’s not entirely clear when the other two characters will be up for DLC, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on them. If you pre-order WWE All Stars at GameStop, when the game arrives you will receive a special code that will allow you to unlock the two characters. The two in particular are part of a wrestling family that can easily buy every single fan a hundred times over. They are the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and his son, current RAW superstar Ted DiBiase Jr. If you want both of these characters right away, you can pre-order either at your local GameStop or online.

Is the DiBiase clan enough for you to go pre-order this title right now? Can you deny the awesomeness that is the Honky Tonk Man? What other characters do you hope to see as DLC?

WWE All Stars is coming out March 29th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.

  1. If you go to ign they have the full list of dlc characters. They have already been anounced. The list is

    Ted Dibiase
    Ted Dibiase Jr.
    Big Boss Man
    Dusty and Cody Rhodes
    Road Warriors Hawk and Animal
    Jerry Lawler
Michael Hayes (Freebirds and why bother waste the space for Michael Hayes)
    Chris Jericho
    Ron Killings (R-Truth)
Mark Henry (Yeah only made it in cause there are like only 4 Big Guy types in the game)

And when you do the Heavyweight title Legends tier you earn and fight classic Undertaker.

Pre-ordered months ago and I can’t wait. I missed WCW/NWO Revenge, and No Mercy so much that when I saw this I became like a kid again.

  2. I would love to see more WCW wrestlers appear as DLC, but I know it’ll probably never happen… Maybe they’ll throw Booker T in there now that he’s partially returned.

This game is looking great though, and the fact that they are giving away a new character for free is beyond awesome!

  3. I would love to see Ravishing Rick Rude included as one of the characters and am surprised to see that he wasnt included as one of the characters from the “classic” era of WWE. I hope they release him as a DLC.

  4. I would also like to see a DLC that would classic announcers to the game such as Vince McMahon and Jesse “The Body” or Bobby “The Brain” and “Mean” Gene Okerlund. I would have said Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon but tragically Mr. Monsoon passed away a few years back and would not be available to record commentary for the game.

  5. Quite honestly I’m getting tired of having legends games with the same old legends. If THQ wants to make a buck off of the DLC they to start throwing in some different wrestlers in the mix…my top choices:

    Demolition
    Doink the Clown
    Razor Ramon
    Papa Shango
    Diesel
    Owen Hart
    Psycho Sid
    Bam Bam Bigelow

    • i totally agreed! havent seen doink the clown for along time. they mind as throw in yokozuna while their at it. need more variety of big man!

    • I would LOVE to see Owen in any kind of game other than Showdown: Legend of Wrestling but sadly that will never happen cause it’s been stated by his wife many times that if his face is used for anything that can get WWE profit, she will sue them… She even tried getting all his matches on DVD erased.
I suppose I can understand in a way but it’s sad for us Owen Hart fans.

  6. As much as I love legends, I can’t really think of too many that haven’t already been listed, but here’s who I’d like to see for Legends:

Owen Hart(Definitely needs to be in there)
“The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith
    Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart
    Bushwhacker Luke
    Bushwhacker Butch
    Yokozuna
    Terry Funk
    Koko B. Ware
Junk Yard Dog(there’s like, what, only one, two black guys in the game?)
    Mick Foley(How is he not?)
    Ric Flair
    The Iron Sheik
    Nicolai Volkoff
All the other legends that have already been listed…

I also have a list for Superstars I’d like to see:
Christian(Come on, Edge and Christian anybody?)
    MVP
Ezekiel Jackson(He’s a beast and one of my favorites)
    David Hart Smith
Tyson Kidd(I loved these guys when they were a tag team. Then WWE screwed up a good thing, broke them up, and then I lost track of them both.)
Santino Marella(Yeah, I know. But he’s hilarious to watch. Plus, an All Stars version of the Cobra might actually be kinda cool.)
    Vladimir Koslov
    The Great Khali

Okay, I’m sure some of you will disagree, and that’s fine. Hell, I can probably make Khali by using Andre’s moveset and finisher, but this is still what I’d like to see.

Now, here’s some people I’d love to see but probably never will:
    Kurt Angle
    Jeff Hardy
    Matt Hardy
    The Dudley Boyz
    RVD
    Tommy Dreamer
    Rhyno
    Sandman
    Tazz
    Raven
    Sting(WCW goth and surfer.)
Goldberg(Just imagine an All Star version of the Jackhammer. He’d probably spin/flip five or six times before connecting.)

    So there ya go.

  7. Brock Lesnar, Goldberg and Jeff Hardy… I’d pay the same price as what I paid for the game itself, if you could get them in some DLC.

All the politics behind who they can and who they can’t have is really annoying. Stop being petty and let the fans have who they want!

The Bushwhackers, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Rick “The Model” Martel, Marty Jannetty, Diesel, Matt Hardy, Sting, Mick Foley, Rick Flare, Kurt Angle, & Batista are some I’d also like to see in future DLC.

  8. I would like to see these superstars in a dlc,
    Kurt Angle
    Brock Lesnar
    Sting
    Booker T
    Jeff Hardy
    Matt Hardy
    The Dudley boyz
    Rob Van Dam
    Ric Flair
    British Bulldog
    Mick Foley
    Junkyard Dog
    Christian

    • oh and Batista
