Fans of the WWE have two things that they look forward to each and every year: WrestleMania and a new entry in the WWE line of video games. Keeping with tradition, followers of the esteemed squared circle have already witnessed WrestleMania 29 and its card full of iconic matches, and now with WWE 2K14 on the horizon fans can look forward to re-living a number of highly-regarded WWE match-ups in the game’s newly announced ’30 Years of WrestleMania’ mode.

This new mode will be taking over as the core single-player experience, and it’s filled to the brim with a number of Superstars that reached stardom through their time spent within World Wrestling Entertainment. 2K Games has confirmed that legends such as Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant will be making their return to a WWE ring, courtesy of WWE 2K14‘s 30 Years of WrestleMania mode.

These two grapplers will be joined by The Ultimate Warrior, a playable character that can be obtained by pre-ordering WWE 2K14 at participating retailers. Likewise, fans can also pick up the WWE 2K14 Phenom Edition to score the wrestler along with a bunch of desirable memorabilia – one of which is an autographed card from The Undertaker himself.

Over 45 historic WrestleMania encounters can be experienced in the forthcoming wrestling title, but 2K Games has only confirmed three of the fights that are awaiting fans in 2K14. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant at WrestleMania II, The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania X8, and The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII will all be featured in the game, with plenty of other spats still left to be confirmed. The mode will span five distinctive eras within WWE: with several different costumes, screen filters, and a hodgepodge of archival footage for each infamous encounter working to immerse players in each respective time period.

With the existence of the new 30 Years of WrestleMania mode now public knowledge, 2K Games has confirmed that wrestling enthusiasts can anticipate learning the identity of every Superstar featured in WWE 2K14‘s roster very soon. On August 17 at 12:30 p.m. PDT, 2K Games will be live streaming the roster reveal via Twitch.TV. With the number of Legends and current day Superstars already in line to make their return to a WWE ring, fans will assuredly have a lot to look forward to.

  1. I haven’t really played any wwe games for a while but this one seems like its going to be pretty good, I might have to give this one a try

  2. my friend’s mother makes $77 every hour on the computer. She has been fired for 5 months but last month her pay was $19158 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read more here…. WWW.Cℕℕ13.COM

  3. Benoit better make the cut….

  4. Lets hope that Benoit doesn’t make the cut. Any man that murders anybody should not be rewarded or remembered.

  5. He was ill. Mike Tyson was guilty of rape, Steve Austin guilty of spousal abuse, Guerrero overdosed on drugs and all of those guys were put in the games.

    • All of those things are worse than taking somebody’s life? Even worse, his own family. He had no illness, he took steroids like a bitch.

  6. hopefully they focus on CM Punks reign as WWE champ and some of his epic rivalries during that time

  7. I hope they use the real 80s WWE logo with the F in it this time. The lawsuit was lifted last year.

  8. I’m disappointed, to be honest. I’d rather they have original story modes like they used to!
