The fan anticipation for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt means that a lot of people have a lot of questions about the game, and so CD Projekt Red's community managers recently took to Youtube to answer some of the most prominent fan questions. Among the important details that came out were the fact that the enemies in the game do not scale according to the player's level, which means that fighting generic critters will be much easier later on in the game, but seeking out the big guys early on is basically suicide.

Geralt will also have the convenient ability to call up his horse with a simple whistle, no matter where it ended up, and the horse comes with additional inventory space. The game will introduce new mechanics like "points of interest" (events that occur organically, in which the player can intervene), and luckily it will now be possible to use potions in battle. Also, there will not be any gnomes.

Seeing the gameplay in action is more useful than simply having someone describe it, and luckily CD Projekt Red has also released a full 37 minutes of gameplay footage from The Witcher 3, which offers a detailed look at some of the sumptuous landscapes that players can explore.

The gameplay video shows Geralt wearing some fairly heavy-duty armor, but in an interview with VG24/7 art producer Stan Just explained that Geralt's outfit will vary depending on which set of armor the player wishes to wear, and how high a tier they are wearing. The four different armor sets are based on the four Witcher schools: Wolf, Cat, Griffin and Viper.

"What you should be looking forward to is to assemble special Witcher sets of armour. They’re related to the Witcher schools, so the Wolf is not the only one. They come in four different levels, and you can only achieve the highest levels by crafting the previous ones. That will hopefully engage the players into getting into the quests that’ll enable them to gather all of the parts of the set, get the bonus stats and achieve the final stage of the armour. The final stages of those special armours are really, really impressive in terms of artistic style."

Just also promised that there will be more variation and customization in armor and swords in The Witcher 3, which should make RPG fans very happy. For those who are fanatical about graphics, however, there's still no guarantee that The Witcher 3 will be able to run at 1080p on Xbox One and PS4. Speaking to Gamespot, marketing manager Tomasz Tinc explained that it's impossible to give final framerates and resolutions while optimization is still ongoing. Only time will tell whether it will be possible to pick out Geralt's each individual beard hair while playing on a console.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases February 24, 2015 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
