One of the developers behind Forza has confirmed that Forza Horizon 4 will remain on the market for the foreseeable future, putting to rest a rumor that the title would be delisted like earlier ones in the series. While the Forza Horizon games set in the Mediterranean and Australia have been delisted from the Microsoft Store in the past, there's no sign that Forza Horizon 4 will meet the same fate.

Previous Forza titles like Forza Horizon 2 and its immediate sequel have been delisted from the Microsoft Store about four years after their launch. These initial games aren't featured as part of the Game Pass lineup like Forza Horizon 4 either, making it harder for fans of the original Forza Horizon experiences to relive their memories of the Mediterranean and Australian adventures if they don't already own them. Although some long-time Forza fans have worried about Forza Horizon 4 receiving the same treatment soon, Community Manager T10ManteoMax has given a serendipitous update to the community.

Forza Horizon 4 was the first title in the series to launch day one on Game Pass, and it was also the first of these games to tackle the live service model of regular content drips alongside important updates. Although Forza Horizon 5 has been available for almost a year now, the trend of older titles being removed from digital storefronts leaves Forza fans with fewer alternatives to the latest game than they would otherwise. As some Forza Horizon 4 players that invested in the live service title speculated on the Forza forums that the game would be going offline in a month, T10ManteoMax stated there was "no need to worry," and "we’re not planning on delisting Forza Horizon 4 anytime soon."

In addition to the base Forza Horizon 4 experience, diehard fans of the game may have also delved into the Fortune Island and LEGO Speed Champions expansion content which broadened how much a player could do on the open world map. Because there are no plans to remove Forza Horizon 4 from Xbox Game Pass or digital storefronts in the near future, this game may continue to be a home for Forza Horizon 5 fans that are looking for more content or different locations to explore. While it isn't being taken down anywhere, developers at Playground Games and Turn 10 continue to work on the newer titles in the Forza franchise, which means that Forza Horizon 4 is likely complete as it is today and may not be getting additional content.

Although Forza Horizon 4 may be taken offline in the future like other entries in the series, the live service model continues to keep Steam and Microsoft players coming back regularly that may have otherwise played through the campaign and went on to something else.

Forza Horizon 4 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
