At this point, it's practically a given that any high profile, triple-A release will have some form of Season Pass. In some cases, that Pass serves as a way to discount post-release content (Call of Duty: Ghosts); while in others it allows early access to content (Battlefield 4). In the case of Watch Dogs, it's both.

Although word of a Watch Dogs Season Pass has been circulating the Net for the last month, Ubisoft made it official with news of a price point, details, and a new trailer (seen above). The Season Pass will be available for purchase very soon and will carry a price tag of $19.99.

As far as what the Season Pass includes, we had previously heard that it would unlock an extra single player campaign element, and Ubisoft has confirmed that today. This new story component will follow a hacker named T-Bone who, as Ubisoft puts it, "lives by his own rules." It's unclear how substantial T-Bone's campaign will be, but that seems to be one of the main points of focus for this Season Pass.

The Season Pass also includes a Digital Trip game mode called Conspiracy! that has players hunting cyborgs in an alternate game universe. These Digital Trips reportedly occur at various points throughout the game, and feature hero Aiden Pearce passing out and entering a digital cyberspace populated by mini games.

Other points of note in the Season Pass are the mission, weapon, and outfit packs that should hit Watch Dogs on a regular basis. While Ubisoft would not provide full details on what players can expect, they did highlight the 'Untouchables Pack,' which draws inspiration from the 1987 Brian De Palma film and features an M1 SMG weapon, and a 1920s mobster outfit.

All told, the Watch Dogs Season Pass will give owners access to post-release content a week earlier than regular gamers, and at a substantial discount. The promise of a new story campaign might be cause enough to pick up the Pass, but we hope that Ubisoft still has more in store for games as far as post-release content goes. Watch Dogs is one of the most anticipated games of the year, so it's only fitting that Ubisoft do its best to extend the experience for as long as possible.

Will you be picking up the Watch Dogs Season Pass? Do you like the idea of a 50/50 split between single player and multiplayer content or would you rather Ubisoft focus on one area more than another?
