The Walking Dead Episode 5 Release Date

It's been a long time coming, but finally The Walking Dead: Episode 5 is almost here. In fact, Telltale Games has just announced a release date for the finale, and it's right around the corner.

On November 19th, players on PC, Mac, and iOS devices will be able to get their hands on 'No Time Left,' while Xbox 360 and PS3 players will have to wait until November 20th to see how the story wraps up. It might not seem like that long to the uninitiated, but for those who have become invested in The Walking Dead,  a weeklong wait is excruciating.

When Telltale Games first announced they would be adapting Robert Kirkman's graphic novel, The Walking Dead, into a video game many thoughts instantly jumped to the AMC series. There were questions about whether or not the game — which would be delivered in five bite-sized episodes — would feature Rick and his band of survivors, but when Telltale's response was, "No," it was hard not to feel a little bit disappointed.

However, now that we are preparing for the fifth episode's release, it's nearly impossible not to call to mind Lee and Clementine when The Walking Dead is brought. The emotion that Telltale has been able to elicit from gamers over the course of four, 5-hour long episodes is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Last month's episode, 'Around Every Corner', was the series' benchmark thus far, and that says a lot considering the choices that were forced upon players in Episode 3. Nevertheless, Episode 5 promises to be the series' most heart-wrenching yet.

If you've finished Episode 4 you know what's in store for the remaining characters, and there's no possible way it can all be resolved happily. But still, despite a game that is hell-bent on making gamers well up at every turn, we are eagerly anticipating the release of Episode 5.

Are you ready for the finale of The Walking Dead? How do you think it all will end?
