Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season One burst on to the scene last year, and stole many Game of the Year awards in the process. While Season Two won't hit digital storefronts until some time in the fall, Telltale has today released The Walking Dead: 400 Days.

400 Days is a prequel of sorts, following the exploits of five separate characters during the first 400 days of the zombie outbreak. And to celebrate the downloadable title's release on the PSN, Telltale has unveiled a new trailer.

As you can see in the trailer above, The Walking Dead: 400 Days is seemingly filled with similarly tough decisions and tense drama. The DLC also promises to shed some back-story on the locations in The Walking Dead: Season One.

Our guess is that many of the abandoned or run down locales that Lee and his band of survivors encountered on their travels will take on a new life after 400 Days. Players might even cross paths with some recognizable faces.

But the real content Telltale is working towards is The Walking Dead: Season Two, which they have promised will hit sometime before the end of this year. Episode 5 of Season One resolved a lot of the ongoing storyline, but it also left a few questions on the table. Hopefully, Season Two will, at the very least, feature some familiar faces, even if they are in the periphery.

As was mentioned, The Walking Dead: 400 Days is available now on the PSN. It will then release on Wednesday July 3rd for PC and Mac, Friday July 5th on Xbox Live, and Thursday July 11th for iOS. We're not sure why there is such a disparity between the releases, but we suspect Sony secured some sort of exclusive.

Which platform will you be playing The Walking Dead: 400 Days on? PS3 players, have you had a chance to check out the DLC? What do you think so far?

The Walking Dead: 400 Days is out now for PSN and releases later this week for PC and Xbox Live.
