March may come in like a lion, but there's nothing sheepish about its exit. After February got things started, the 2015 gaming year kicks into full swing this month, with a bevy of indie and triple-A titles ready to decimate your wallets and dominate your spare time. Let's take a look.

There's no use pretending: this Game Rant Guide is a few weeks late, and by now everybody's hopefully enjoying the strong slate of indie and downloadable titles that hit in March's first few weeks. Sure-fire hits like OlliOlli 2 and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number lived up to expectations, while unknown quantities like ScreamRide and Cities: Skylines proved to be pleasant surprises.

Still, it's the week of March 16 that's poised to be the big one, with Battlefield Hardline and the Final Fantasy 15 demo (part of the Final Fantasy Type-0 package) making their long-awaited debuts. And hey, let's throw in some Borderlands and a Mario Party for good measure!

That's a strong end to the month, especially for PlayStation owners. Bloodborne looks just as fiendishly difficult as From Software's other titles, and while Sony San Diego might've chosen the wrong Dodger for the cover (Clayton Kershaw has three Cy Young awards, people), MLB 15 The Show should continue its tradition of best-in-class excellence. And yet, March is only the warm up for next month. Can we say Mortal Kombat, everyone?
