Move along, folks. Nothing to see here.
Developers, fans, and the media are still recovering from one of the most eventful E3s in years, and it looks like the game industry is going to take July easy. Oh, sure, there are a few noteworthy releases on the horizon, but the month's biggest title - God of War III Remastered - is a remake of a five year old game. Kratos looks better than ever, but you've played this one before.
Still, there are a few gems hidden among this month's slate of games. Sports fans can look forward to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (the first entry in the series since 1998 that doesn't feature Tiger Woods) and F1 2015; Godzilla storms onto PlayStation consoles in the middle of the month; and the classic adventure game King's Quest returns as July draws to a close.
As for Wii U owners? Hope you're enjoying Splatoon; other than some fresh maps and the new Tower Control game mode, Nintendo's sitting this month out.

Things pick up next month, with Rare Replay, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and this year's installment of Madden. That should be enough to keep players busy until September 1st, when Snake returns and the holiday release season kicks into overdrive.
