Venom: Let There Be Carnage is out in theaters and currently doing well. The sequel film raises the stakes and the VFX from what Sony's last Venom film did. It established Eddie Brock as a character while also adding an emphasis on the relationship between him and the symbiote.

Sony's Venom: Let There Be Carnage introduced a new symbiote to the live-action cinematic world. Cletus Kasady was a new character introduced in the film, who took on the role of Carnage. Kasady was a serial killer who was brought up with a traumatic past and ended up killing and hiding multiple bodies. Once he got the symbiote upgrade, Kasady became an unstoppable force, killing anyone and everything.

The film also brought out a very unique post-credits scene that shook the Marvel world. The scene teased a potential meetup with Venom and another character in a future film down the line. Many viewers may not know, but to have the two characters in question on the same screen at the same time required coordination behind the scenes between multiple different parties. Kevin Feige spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the current Marvel Studios film slate, which was mainly focused on the upcoming Eternals film. Eternals is the next Marvel Studios film and it is set to debut this upcoming November. During the interview, Feige discussed what Venom 2 did and how excited he was to see the fan-favorite character brought to the big screen.

Feige went on to say, “There was a lot of coordination — and if you don’t know all the coordination yet, I’m not going to be the one to tell you — but yes, between Sony and Marvel and the Venom team and the No Way Home team." He then added, “We worked together on it.” Without spoiling what the post-credits scene was, just know that it took heavy planning and contractual work in order to make it happen, even though the scene was just a brief portion of the otherwise large-scale Venom 2.

Venom 2 did a good job at solidifying Eddie Brock as a solo character, which many fans enjoyed. Hopefully, Venom gets further character development and if the rumors are true, we may end up seeing him brought into the world of Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe.
