In many ways, House House's Untitled Goose Game serves as a return to the joyful core elements of exploration, puzzle solving, and pure fun that characterized several influential titles before it. Earning a great deal of praise, Untitled Goose Game has realized digital success, and it is now available physically on a variety of platforms as well.

Recently gamers looking to secure a copy of their own for their PS4 in Europe, in true goose game spirit, seem to have been pranked upon opening the box and seeing the disc for the first time. Explained in a Twitter post from user Cabel of Panic, the publishers behind Untitled Goose Game's physical edition, the image present on the disc is not quite what the developers had intended.

In essence, the error is fairly benign, but a slight against the professionalism of the studio all the same. Present on the physical Untitled Goose Game disc is the normally hidden template layer used by a graphic designer to organize and layout all of the visual elements. Utilizing different colored dotted parameters to communicate which of the various graphics and legal markings are to be placed where offers an interesting bit of insight into the design process.

Maintaining a solid sense of humor about the situation, Cabel has explained that the error lies not on developer House House, but instead the publisher Panic, citing the possibility of the misprints rising in value as rare collector's items.

Untitled Goose Game is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
