Twitter user AllGamesDelta reveals the interesting patch notes and bonus modes coming to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End thanks to a mandatory 5GB day one update.
Even after a number of delays fans are only 12 days away from finally experiencing Nathan Drake's potentially final adventure in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. While the game promises to be an emotional rollercoaster for many, including long time fans, Naughty Dog is looking to keep players engaged with the game for as long as possible through various means including multiplayer and various free and paid downloadable content. What may be more exciting is that even more bonus content is going into the game thanks to a recently revealed day one patch.
A Twitter user known as AllGamesDelta posted a screenshot revealing many of the details from the hefty 5GB day one patch coming on launch day for Uncharted 4 owners. While day one patches have become quite common these days to help fix various performance and bug fixes that were found after a game goes gold, the Uncharted 4 patch also manages to introduce a number of interesting bonus features for players to utilize while playing.

While this patch essentially turns on the competitive multiplayer element including the recently revealed Plunder mode, fans are also getting a lot of single player bonuses as well. In what is becoming somewhat of a PlayStation 4 staple, a photo mode has been added, letting players take some really cinematic shots in an already gorgeous title. Additional game modes, a character model viewer, concept art galleries and more are also being added. For many however, the most exciting feature may be the ability to select a number of different skins for the single player mode, allowing players to switch from Nathan Drake.
Naughty Dog is making sure Uncharted 4 is going out with a bang as the game is taking advantage of the new PlayStation 4 hardware to push the technical boundaries in many interesting ways. The obvious enhancement is with the visuals which easily make Uncharted 4 the best looking game in the franchise.
From a subtler standpoint however, the extra power has allowed Naughty Dog to create play spaces that are 10 times as large, giving players more freedom to tackle objectives how they see fit. These giant areas then give way to impressive in-game cut scenes which appear seamlessly between game play segments, removing the need for loading screens completely which would also then rip the player out of the experience.
Are you excited to see so many new features being patched into the game on day one? What else would you like to see Naughty Dog add into the game at some point? Let us know in the comments down below.
