The Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception beta concluded this past Friday, and looking at the stats, it's highly probable that many gamers weren't too enthusiastic that they now have to wait another three months to enjoy the robust multiplayer.

The Uncharted 3 beta had it's high moments and it's low moments, specifically with the recent rank resets that occurred to a numerous amount of players.

While affected players were certainly frustrated that all of their progress was lost, the conclusion of the beta means they no longer have to worry about being ill-equipped when entering the online battlefield, especially for Uncharted 3's full release in November - as the only items that will carry over are the rewards players recieved for accomplishing certain feats.

Despite the troubles (i.e. the reason for a public test), the Uncharted 3 beta was the biggest in PS3 history.

Check out the stats below:

  • Total Unique Beta Players: 1.53 million
  • Total Kills: 1.9 Billion
  • Total Cash collected: 1.4 TRILLION dollars (that’s greater than the gross domestic product of Spain, the eleventh highest GDP in the world)
  • Total shots fired: 48 billion
  • Total matches completed: 22 million
  • Total time played: More than 362 years worth of matches

More vocal beta participants should know that Naughty Dog is also keeping the Multiplayer Beta Forums open all weekend, so if anyone has some post-beta complaints they want to share, or even some positive feedback, they should do so before the forum closes tomorrow. After that the forums will resume normal discussion.  The multiplayer team has already made multiple tweaks and changes based on previous suggestions, but they will also look over the beta forums to see what else needs work.

Those who were able to earn awards during the beta should also update their PSN account to "Allow communications from PlayStation" as this is the only way they will be able to receive the awards when Uncharted 3 launches in November - check under account management (or through the PlayStation website), otherwise Sony will be unable to contact you.

Gamers with a craving for more Uncharted should be pleased to know that the multiplayer will be playable at San Diego Comic Con this week, including multiple game modes featured in the beta, such as the late addition of the improved co-op mode.  Additionally, a contest at Subway will allow gamers to play the title prior to the game's November release - though more details will be given in the coming months.
