Uncharted 2: Among Thieves just arrived on store shelves  surrounded by a halo of critical praise. Even though most people have yet to actually get their hands on the game, Naughty Dog is already talking possible DLC opportunities.

In a recent interview, Naughty Dog’s multiplayer designer Justin Richmond spoke with Eurogamer about DLC for Uncharted 2: “What you'll probably see is more of the competitive type: more maps, more modes, stuff like that. The co-op stuff is hugely time-intensive and the size of it - the physical download size - is huge, so that's probably not an option."

Richmond asserted that he’s interested in co-op gameplay, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves already offers several co-op multiplayer maps, but co-op DLC is unlikely.

“I'm not going to say never but for the foreseeable future we're not going to be doing that.”

We may not get more co-op gameplay out of Uncharted 2, but Richmond certainly left the door wide open for the possibility of more sophisticated co-op in future projects.

“Naughty Dog does a really good job of defining things, and I think no one's really done a definitively amazing co-op experience and I think we can do that, and it's something that at some point we'll tackle... If I have my say, then that's what we'd do."

Hopefully Naughty Dog supports Uncharted 2 with more DLC than sister-PS3 exclusive InFamous (which has none.)
