Expanding on an already-released game can only mean one thing: lots of new stuff. The fighting game genre is particularly noteworthy for adding to existing games, if the number of rereleases of Street Fighter II are anything to go by.

In this day and age, with the advent of DLC, to release an expanded version of a game must mean that there's simply too much to have as purely digital content, and Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 certainly seems to fit that bill.

A new trailer for the title was released recently, giving fans more of the exciting 3-on-3 action that we've come to expect from the series. On a minor note: Capcom characters getting their own version of the Marvel movie opening is a nice touch. The trailer also confirms an important bit of info: that it will be Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 that's headed to the Playstation Vita - not the original as was initially suspected.

The trailer shows off two characters from the confirmed list that had yet to strut their stuff. The Immortal Iron Fist is a superhero from the Marvel universe, able to control a special energy known as Chi. This, combined with his expertise in various martial arts, makes him a deadly force to be reckoned with. Despite being a less iconic character in the comics, it goes without saying that he gels perfectly with Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. He's basically Bruce Lee with superpowers. You don't get more awesome than that.

In terms of gameplay, Iron Fist looks to be hard-hitting - focusing solely on hand-to-hand combat - and can move fast enough to close the gap between him and his opponent with ease. He appears to be balanced enough to serve as a Marvel equivalent of Ryu, and chances are he'll be a pretty popular character for newcomers.

Also joining the fray, Vergil is the twin brother of Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and made his first appearance in the third DMC title as the main antagonist. Unlike his brother, Vergil wants to embrace his demonic side, believing that power is the only thing that matters. As such, he seeks to unlock the power of their father, the demon Sparda, and doesn't care what happens to the human world in the process

Vergil looks to be even deadlier than his brother, with speed that could match Wesker's. He may be a somewhat straightforward character - with most of his focus on wicked-fast slashes of his sword, racking up serious combos.

What did you think of the new trailers? Are Iron Fist and Vergil worthy additions to the cast?

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 arrives November 15th for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Vita version will arrive in Japan on launch date, December 17th.
