Telltale Games' The Walking Dead has taken gamers on a long road with plenty of emotional battering along the way, and the second season of the acclaimed choice-and-consequence series will conclude this month in episode 5, 'No Going Back.' Between the cold, Rebecca's newborn baby and the tightly wound frustrations of the group, it's safe to say that the final chapter won't be an easy ride for poor Clementine.

Of course, the ride hasn't exactly been easy so far. A new trailer for 'No Going Back' recaps the major events of the first season and the second season so far, which has included some heart-rending deaths and some agonizing decisions (the trailer is full of spoilers, by the way). The last half of the trailer shows a flashback scene to right before the zombie outbreak. Does this mean we can count raccoons as a recurring motif now?

The Walking Dead has already been greenlit for a third season, though it's unknown whether Clementine or any of the other characters will return. Telltale is also working on Borderlands tie-in game Tales from the Borderlands and a title based on George R. R. Martin's wildly popular Game of Thrones books. Let's hope that Telltale's release schedules don't start flagging again with all these spinning plates.

The Walking Dead young Clementine

The second season of The Walking Dead has taken an interesting approach in light of the choices of season one. While playing as Lee Everett, gamers were charged with teaching young Clementine the best way to survive in the zombie apocalypse - whether by taking the most self-concerned path possible or by trying to trust and help everyone.

While playing as Clementine, however, it's possible to either continue with the same kind of behavior as the previous game, or to make Clementine reject Lee's advice and choose her own path in the world. The limitations of Telltale's brand of storytelling mean that decisions made by the player may not affect the major plot points of season 2's story, but they will have a profound impact on how Clementine develops as a character.

With that in mind the trailer's final message "Who Will You Become? #MyClementine" is a pretty poignant one. Tell us in the comments what decisions you've made so far in The Walking Dead season 2 - and whether you regret any of them

The Walking Dead season 2, episode 5, 'No Going Back' will be available for PC, PS3 and PS Vita on 26th August, 2014, followed by the Xbox 360 release on August 27th and the iOS release on August 28th.
