The Walking Dead Sales Season Two

The success of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead graphic adventure game speaks for itself. The first season was widely regarded as one the greatest of 2012 by many video game news outlets and award shows.

The timing of the game's release with the popularity of AMC's live-action TV series was as brilliant as the marketing for the game, with Telltale releasing episodic installments monthly. This strategy kept players interested and buzzing about the story, and the cliffhangers were a great way to influence players to finish the game.

The Walking Dead showed fans what can be done with a simple point-and-click adventure game through the power of well-written and acted characters in a strong story. Fresh off of their release of The Wolf Among Us, Telltale is riding quite a wave of momentum. The early consensus for The Wolf Among Us have been generally favorable (read our positive review here), and this paves a bright future for the eagerly anticipated season 2 of The Walking Dead.

Telltale Games recently announced on their Twitter page that The Walking Dead announcements are coming soon, specifically related to the next batch of episodes. With season 4 of the AMC's highly rated show kicking off this week, the timing again, is very smart.
