Blizzard may have expressed plans in moving to annual World of Warcraft expansion packs soon, but for now MMO fans are still stuck waiting for at least two years between each massive content edition. This fall we reach the end of another long wait and to help ring in the arrival of Warlords of Draenor, SteelSeries has announced a new World of Warcraft-themed product. Earlier today, SteelSeries announced that, in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment, the hardware company will be releasing a Siberia Elite World of Warcraft Edition headset. As seen in the trailer above, the Siberia Elite brings some serious power, and comfort, to the table. When we reviewed the SteelSeries Siberia V2 a few years back, we were blown away by how comfortable the headset was (which is incredibly important for long gaming sessions) and its reassuring to see that this new model put an emphasis on comfort, as well. Tino Soelberg, SteelSeries CTO, spoke about the collaboration with Blizzard on the headset...

“Our partnership with Blizzard Entertainment to create unique gear for the World of Warcraft community has culminated in this bold new version of our premium and award-winning headset–a perfect complement to Blizzard’s upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion... Players deserve the best quality audio to experience the music and sounds of Draenor; this exclusive edition of the Siberia Elite headset delivers epic audio quality in a beautiful World of Warcraft-themed design.”

The new headset definitely rocks the Azeroth branding with pride and looks good doing so. The rings of rune illuminations, which offer the ability to pulse based on in-game actions, look pretty incredible in the announcement video, as well. It may be a little too flashy for fans of bare bones gear, but if you prefer a little style with your hardware, this may be the right choice for you.

Aside from awesome glowing lights, the headset also comes equipped with a closed ear cup design that provides virtual 7.1-channel surround sound. Users will have the ability to tweak settings, like usual, and save unique presets to a profile. No release date was mentioned, but we imagine the product will arrive roughly around the same time as the next World of Warcraft expansion, which hitssometime this fall.

Are you excited enough about Warlords of Draenor to pick up a new headset and return to the world of WoW raiding? If so, do you think the upcoming SteelSeries headset is right for you? Let us know in the comments.
