It's not surprising that Star Wars Battlefront is one of the most anticipated games of 2015, especially given how highly requested a return to the series has been amongst fans of the property. Despite a release later this year, however, fans haven't seen any actual gameplay of the title. While that's scheduled to be rectified at E3 2015, Electronic Arts and DICE have given fans some additional art to salivate over.

What's so special about this particular piece is that it's featured on the cover of the deluxe edition of Star Wars Battlefront. Suffice to say that, in a world where gaming cover art is so often hit or miss in an attempt to grab consumer attention, it looks very rad.

Posted by Amazon, the box art features a Stormtrooper looking out against the Rebel Alliance members that stand in the soldier's way. What's cool about this art is that it's actually a different perspective of the previously revealed box art for the standard version of the game, albeit with a larger emphasis on the Empire's iconic white-armored army. Suffice to say, it's sure to strike a chord with longtime fans of the property.

While the art for Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition is neat, the contents of the game are a little bit different than just the standard offering. Included with the Deluxe Edition is a slew of exclusive, downloadable goodies that diehard fans will definitely want to get their hands on – with the most desirable piece being none other than the very blaster model used by the infamous Han Solo.

According to the retail listing, this particular version of the game will come with the following:

  • Made famous by Han Solo, the DL-44 is the blaster of choice for scoundrels across the universe.
  • Inflict more damage on enemy vehicles with the Ion Grenade.
  • The Ion Torpedo locks on to and delivers extra damage to your opponents’ vehicles.
  • Get electrified with the Ion Shock emote, available exclusively in the Deluxe Edition.
  • Celebrate your win in style and pump your fist in the air with the exclusive Victory emote.

Following the release of the first trailer for Star Wars Battlefront, anticipation for the game has been steadily building. It'll be interesting to see whether or not the final game lives up to expectations, but E3 2015 should provide fans with a solid understanding of what to expect from the finished title.

Star Wars Battlefront launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 17, 2015.
