PC Zone magazine has confirmed that co-op gameplay will be featured in Splinter Cell Conviction. No word on whether it will be strictly over online play or if it will feature a split-screen mode. For the Xbox 360 this will be the first time you will be able to do co-op missions in a Splinter Cell game.
Unfortunately when Splinter Cell Double Agent was released on the Xbox 360, it did not have the co-operative missions that were featured in the Xbox and Ps2 versions of the game. The lack of the feature is what swayed me into buying the original Xbox version of the game. Splinter Cell co-op is some of the best co-op I have played and I am extremely thrilled for it’s next generation debut.
With the announcement of the co-op feature also came the hint of a new game mode. No details just yet but we will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.
Are you excited for another co-operative Splinter Cell experience?

Woa thats awesome news… Loved the splinter cells and their multiplayer for the most part. Thanks for the update!
Co-op’s good, but the multiplayer counter-op in both Pandora’s Tomorrow and Chaos Theory were incredible.
If it weren’t for the fact that Ubisoft abandoned the PC version of Chaos Theory shortly after its release, I’d be playing it far more often.
Right now my siblings and I actually fire up a bunch of old Celeron / Pentium 4 computers with GeForce 4200 and 6200′s to play the game now and again. Only trouble is that Shader Model 2.0 destroyed the flashlight rendering code, making anyone who’s playing mercenary kind of screwed.
Sweet co-op image, Zac!
