New Action-Packed ‘SoulCalibur V’ Trailer & Screenshots

 by

SoulCalibur V, the sixth game in the long-running 3D fighting game franchise. A brand new stylized trailer has been released that sets the stage through a blood thirsty bout between Siegfried and Nightmare.

Prior to this one, we’ve seen two recent trailers - one focused on past characters and the second SoulCalibur V trailer showed new faces to help unveil the story behind the game. Along with some new characters and Bayonetta-inspired costume design, SoulCalibur V will also host a new fighting system that will add a super bar called, “Critical Gauge.”

This brand new trailer is a prologue from the final moments of SoulCalibur IV and lays witness to the battle between Siegried and Nightmare, swinging their mighty swords.

The brutal battle will lead events into SoulCalibur V and will take place seventeen years after SC IV. This game follows Patroklos, the son of Sophitia, on an epic quest of good versus evil. Watch the cinematic trailer for SoulCalibur V below:

About SoulCalibur V:

“17 years ago, the ultimate clash between Siegfried and Nightmare brought a cataclysmic conclusion to an era and ignited a new one. Since then, the sword was thought to have lost its power… But the new story that will unfold will prove everyone to be wrong.”
