  1. I think that the Tony Hawk series is trying way to hard to set itself away from every other skateboarding game. Tony Hawk Ride looks to be like the stupidest game in the series yet. I am not going to invest more money in a skateboard that I can pretend to ride.

  2. I kinda agree with Riley. Tony Hawk should’ve played the card it was dealt. The moment Skate came out, the skating genre was split into what NFL games are now. Skate being the Madden whilst Tony Hawk being the NFL Blitz. If Tony Hawk had stepped up the craziness that it was then it might have been better for it. I’m not sure many people would buy an extra peripheral that’s specifically a skateboard. Then again, there’s guitar hero & rockband.

  3. I completely agree with you guys. Personally, I loved Tony Hawk Underground and Underground 2 (Plus everything before those) because they seemed to be exactly what the series needed: not to take itself seriously. Not they seem to be trying for “realism” even though they’re failing pretty badly at it.

As for Skate 3, I think the thing I’m most excited about, even though it’s small, is the return Mark Gonzales (See header). I really missed him in the second game.
