Technical Director Marius Fahlbusch of developer 5th Cell, creators of Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life recently spoke to Official Nintendo Magazine UK. In the interview, he was asked about the possibility of Scribblenauts for the Wii and his response only revealed that it is an “interesting” idea.
“It would certainly be interesting to do the game for the Wii, but for the moment we are concentrating on Scribblenauts for DS. We’re always looking to do something new, something that hasn’t been done before. We’re going to continue on that path”
That certainly isn’t a confirmation but he definitely didn’t say never. Last we heard from 5th Cell, they mentioned that their current project is an Xbox Live Arcade game that “is going to be pretty big.” We at Game Rant don’t believe this means that they’re making a Scribblenauts game for the Xbox Live Arcade but we’ll tell you what it does mean. It means that Scribblenauts Wii might be in the cards someday but that they’re still too busy being creative and original with a brand new title.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Scribblenauts Wii, Scribblenauts iPhone, or Scribblenauts Xbox Live Arcade. If you put Scribblenauts on any other platform with new challenges and achievements, voila! You’ve got yourself a great title hitting a different audience.
Players have been coming up with random solutions to simple problems on Scrubblenauts DS since September 2009.

Yes please – the game is so enjoyable and the sense of humor (i.e. hoverboards don’t work over water, etc) really shows the dedication the developers had to the title.
Maybe the Wii would provide a better foundation for improved controls as well…
