Saints Row 4 Wad Wad Edition Costs 1 Million Dollars

There are Collector’s Editions, there are Limited Editions, there are even Wub Wub Editions, and now there are Wad Wad Editions. Saints Row 4 and publisher Deep Silver are taking the idea of the “special edition” and pushing it to the extreme with their latest endeavor, and it just might be the most brilliant marketing idea ever.

Unlike the Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition of Saints Row 4, this special, Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition features a unique set of expensive accoutrements. And it just so happens to come with one of this year’s most anticipated games – a game we are in the process of reviewing at this moment. If there was ever a game to push the boundaries of a special edition to its limits it would be Saints Row 4, and let’s just say the limits were sufficiently pushed.

First, the bad news: there is only edition of the Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition available and that edition costs $1,000,000. Yes, you read that right: one million dollars.

The good news, however, is that this unique edition of Saints Row 4 will significantly change its owner’s life. Enough talk, here’s the full rundown:

  • 1 Saints Row IV: Commander in Chief Edition
  • 1 Virgin Galactic Space Flight
  • 1 Full-Size Replica Dub-Step Gun (a much larger version of the one that ships with the Wub Wub Edition)
  • 1 Hostage Rescue Experience
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Spy Training Day
  • A Personal Shopper
  • A Capsule Wardrobe
  • 7 Nights at the Top Royal Suite of the Burj-Al-Arab in Dubai
  • A week-long stay for two at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington DC
  • First class flights for the trip to Dubai and Washington DC
  • 1 Lamborghini Gallardo
  • 1 Toyota Prius and 1 Year’s Worth of Insurance
  • A Years Super Car Membership

Saints Row 4 Wad Wad Edition

Now can you see why it costs $1 million and there is only 1 available?

While we highly doubt anyone will actually fork over the cash for the Wad Wad Edition, we still applaud whomever at Deep Silver or Volition that came up with this idea. Saints Row is a franchise that pokes fun at any and every element of the video game industry, so why wouldn’t they introduce something like this? There are even some clever tie-ins to the game, which casts our main character as the President of the United States and gives them super powers.

Oh, and if you happen to be rich enough to purchase this Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition of Saints Row 4? It’s available exclusively at UK retailer GAME. Better act fast because there really is only 1 available.

What do you think of the Saints Row 4 Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition? If you had the money would you purchase this special edition of the game?

Saints Row 4′s Regular, Commander in Chief, Wub Wub, and Wad Wad editions release August 20, 2013 for the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

  1. What the french toast? That’s insane. And amaaazing.

  2. I’d get 2, but unfortunately there’s only 1. Therefore I won’t bother.

  3. hell yeah i pre ordered it.can’t wit for the trip around the world

  4. only the top 5% will ever get to get this experience. Unless the person is generous and offer a special lottery for a lucky player like us :-)

  5. One million dollars? Sounds like a Koch brother deal.

  6. Heck, is there anybody that reads this, on this site can afford it? lol

  7. What?? A Gallardo? Aventador or it’s a rip off…

    • Hahaha yeah the Aventador is way cool but it would be cool if you got something rare like the new Lamborghini Sesto Elemento witch Lamborghini say they are only making in small numbers that would be a way cooler car to get also I wonder if anyone will actually buy this and who that person is.

      • that car costs like 3 million bucks…

    • A 2013 gallardo is $238,000, the space flight is $250,000, the classes are probably $20,000, Both of the hotel stays and flights are about $200,000 (mostly because it costs a ton to fly to Dubai and besides the suite being huge, they give you a 24k encrusted ipad). Add the wardrobe, Prius, insurance, and car club membership (they let you drive all sorts of rare and exciting cars for a year) and you have a cool $300,000. It’s pretty reasonably priced. If they had given out an aventador instead it would be closer to $1.2-1.3 million.

      • @…

A Gallardo is a rip-off at any price. Well, except for the Balboni model, I have a soft-spot for rear-wheel drive supercars… Lamborghinis have really lost their place in the supercar world after the Diablo. They have been mostly unreliable and were being out-performed by cars of much lower price ranges. Of course there were the exceptions like their limited editions, and of course the Aventador like I’ve mentioned. I can tell you the classes do not cost $20k, especially the “Spy” class which is most likely BS, and a 24k ipad is a huge waste of money. A normal ipad is already a waste of money, imagine a 24k one… Prius, another waste at any price, seriously, paying $1M for this will pretty much get me a bunch of crap I’m not interested in…

        • Just skydiving classes can run you p to $1000 for a one time to. Imagine these classes for a week. I’m sure if they can afford to send you first class to a suite in the tallest building on earth, they can get you into sme good programs.

      • Well they say a stay in Dubai hotel, they don’t say they’ll pay your flight ticket!

  8. Id so buy it.

  9. If I had a mil to spend on a game that gave me a Lambo, I’d buy a Lambo instead. Probably be cheaper than a mil.

    • That still isn’t enough to get the Wad Wad edition, Erika!

  10. Meh doesn’t come with the game, was gonnah buy RIP OFF!

    • Umm its at top of the list.

  11. Insane.

  12. Crazy thing is Gamestop still only wanted 5$ down to preorder!

  13. I wonder if it can be returned lol the box should look different than the other games too! I demand that for 1 million dollars!

  14. hmm probably the only people(Gamers) that have the money to buy this game live in Dubai already and have 6 Lamborghini’s in their driveway, If i could only win the lotto …..

    • 6 lambos is not special for the people in dubai…theres people there that own 160+ lambos

  15. This is awesome.

  16. If I had the money I would also i wonder if there’s any taxes…

  17. To be honest, who wouldn’t buy this if he had the money… Even of you didn’t like this game or gaming at all. This is a friggin experience.

    • @SOAPS

*raises hand* I wouldn’t. That’s called wasting money. If you’re rich, you stay rich by not spending it on stupid things. For one, I wouldn’t buy a Lamborghini Gallardo, if I had the money to buy a Lamborghini, it’ll be the Aventador. Secondly, plastic surgery? Really? No thanks, waste of money. Virgin Galactic Space Flight? I think I’ll pass on that until it matures quite a bit so I’m sure I won’t be the guinea pig for them to realize there’s a problem with their system. Spy training day? Seriously, you think there’s a “spy school?” Get real, it’ll be some wannabe wearing cool sunglasses pretending he’s James Bond “teaching” you a bunch of crap that’ll never really get used. Toyota Prius? Waste of money no matter how cheap it is. Hostage Rescue experience? Ok, I do know of schools and camps that teach things like that, so maybe, but you can definitely just pay for that yourself for a few thousand dollars… The rest of the stuff? All a waste of money…

      • It’s just a marketing stunt. And it isn’t a waste of money if you can afford it. That’s what being able to afford something means. If you we’re rich, wanted to buy a supercar, was going to take a vacation, and like saints row this is a great deal. If you want to talk about wasted money then you shouldn’t even buy a Lamborghini, regardless of your income. There are tons of cars that are far more efficient.

        • @…

Uh, no, just because you can afford it doesn’t mean it’s not a waste of money. Are you telling me if McDonalds sold you a hamburger for $50, just because you can afford it that it wasn’t a waste of money? Of course it was… Spending money is one thing, wasting money is another. If I had a lot of money, enough to buy a supercar, one can be considered a waste of money, like a Bugatti Veyron, the most overrated and overpriced piece of crap ever built… While another won’t be. The thing that sets the two apart is if it’s WORTH the price you’re paying for. You can buy a SSC Ultimate Aero for much less than a Bugatti Veyron. The difference is one has a top speed (that you’ll likely NEVER reach) of a few mph more than the other. But here’s the kicker, not only did it cost you more than twice as much to achieve that, but it took twice the number of cylinders, a super complicated system where you have to manually switch it between “top speed mode” and “track mode” that requires you to stop and turn off the car (since the switching requires the door to be opened and the key is used to switch modes), and all kinds of BS complications. It has THE most inefficient engine ever made, 16 cylinders that lose almost 1000hp in its cooling system alone… It’s seriously a piece of crap. The SSC Ultimate Aero actually beat the original Veyron’s top speed and it did it without any of these crazy complications, 8 cylinders, twin turbos, simple as that… The Veyron SS was made to reclaim that title, but seriously, at almost $1.5M to get one in the USA versus a few hundred thousand for the Ultimate Aero, you tell me the Veyron is not a waste of money… Heck, or you can spend about $300k on a Ford GT and compound boost it, people have done this and are pushing 1900hp for like 1/4 – 1/5 the price… Those cars will demolish the top speed record of the Veyron in just a mile from a stop to boot…

Ok, sorry, went off on a tangent, but anyway, point is, spending money and wasting money are two different things. Your idea that being able to afford something means it’s not a waste doesn’t make any sense if you really think about it. Under that logic, it’s only wasting money if you can’t afford it, which really means nobody ever wastes money since not being able to afford something pretty much means they couldn’t buy it… But we know this isn’t the case, people waste their money all of the time on things that shouldn’t cost so much…

          • Actually, what I believe wasting money is isn’t wrong, you simply hold a different outlook on money than me i personally think any car more expensive than $40000 is a ripoff because it’s a dang car. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t buy a nice Aventador if I could afford it. They aren’t selling this as some deal like the rest of the packs, it’s a fun experience for the rich and famous. And I’m sure there is an eccentric millionaire out there who would buy this when you consider how many idiots win the lottery and buy loads of overpriced crap.

          • @…

Well, you yourself said: “And it isn’t a waste of money if you can afford it.” And I’m merely pointing out that just because you can afford it doesn’t mean it’s not a waste of money. It’s definitely your right to waste your money if you want to, but a waste is a waste.

          • I don’t think you understand that “waste” is a circumstantial word. Some people think that nothing is a waste, and they aren’t wrong. It’s all opinions. Just because you think yours is the right one doesn’t make everyone else’s wrong.

          • @…

I don’t really understand how this is such a complex thing. I’m merely addressing your statement that it’s not a waste if you can afford it. *I* personally, can afford plenty of things that *I* consider a waste of money. And I’m sure you can afford plenty of things that *YOU* would consider a waste of money. Just about everyone can afford something that they consider a waste of money. See how that disproves your statement??

I’m trying to figure out how this can be interpreted as such a complicated issue. Not seeing it.

          • Typical cynic. Your opinion matters above all else. Waste is a opinion, you can never be wrong or “right” about your opinion for that reason. Just because I think Teen Pop is the worst current music genre doesn’t mean that it is for anyone but me. I think any teen pop album is a waste, but it isn’t to hundreds of teen girls. Now put that on a larger scale. Some people think some public policies are a waste of government spending, others think it was necessary.

          • @…

Um… wow, seriously, let me make it even simpler: Statement: “it isn’t a waste of money if you can afford it.” = wrong.

Someone (not me), ANYONE, can be able to afford something, but still think (again, not me, not my opinion) that something is a waste of money.

Seriously, how is this so complicated to understand?? When did I say my own opinion applies to anything? What is a waste of money is different for everyone (duh), but the fact is, just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you don’t think it’s a waste of money. Notice I said “you” not “I.”

Don’t make me whip out the crayon, I’m pretty bad at drawing…

          • You’re not getting the point. Everything is a waste of money if we all listened to the majority. Hamburgers are a waste of money to Hindu people, doesn’t mean it is a waste in America. If you think it’s a waste, say that YOU think it is. don’t try to speak for the entire Planet Earth. In cases of not knowing someone else’s condition, you should always assume the better, because if you assume the worst the repercussions are more embarrassing. But who am I kidding, you got sidetracked on this whole discussion to talk about a single statement I made 7 comments ago.

          • @…

WOW, seriously, I don’t know what you’re reading. I am saying, TO THAT INDIVIDUAL something can be a waste of money. ANY INDIVIDUAL. I don’t get how this is so hard for you to understand??? I’m sure a lot of the things I buy can be considered a waste of money to someone else. That’s why it’s up to THAT INDIVIDUAL to decide what is or what isn’t a waste of money TO THAT INDIVIDUAL. The fact is, whether or not THAT INDIVIDUAL can afford it or not doesn’t decide whether or not it’s a waste of money (FOR THAT INDIVIDUAL) or not. Only whether it is worth the money FOR THAT FREAKIN’ INDIVIDUAL.

That’s it, the crayons are coming out… *shakes head*

  18. People can spend 1 million dollars on a video game. when other people dont have 2 dollars to feed their family. what is this world coming to?

  19. so we buy the game to play but have to wait for like a month because of the ‘bonus’ content welcome the reality
