Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart's release is merely days away, with fans of the long-running PlayStation franchise ready to jump into a new adventure complete with wacky alternate dimensions, guns that use iconic items from other Sony franchises as projectiles, and striking 4K graphics. It looks to be its titular protagonists' biggest adventure yet, so much so that it will be exclusively available for the PlayStation 5.

Luckily for PlayStation 4 who won't be able to hop into Rift Apart when it debuts later this week, they can expect some form of Ratchet and Clank action from another Sony exclusive. Announced by Sumo Digital over Twitter, the studio will add three skins themed around the upcoming game into Sackboy: A Big Adventure, with the cosmetics debuting alongside the major PlayStation 5 release on June 15.

Better yet, the outfits will be entirely free and can be claimed on the PlayStation Store. The costumes will focus on each of the game's main characters, with Ratchet, Clank, and Rivet all being transformed into adorable Sackboy characters. It seems Ratchet will come complete with his trusty wrench and iconic outfit, while Rivet has her robotic arm, large hammer, and welding goggles. Clank, on the other hand, looks pulled straight out of his appearance in Rift Apart, albeit with the more cartoonish proportions of Sackboy: A Big Adventure's endearing main character.

The trio will join a whole host of other PlayStation-themed skins that have made their way to Sackboy: A Big Adventure in the months since its release, with the team recently adding Returnal's lead protagonist, Selene. That outfit came complete with the character's white and yellow spacesuit, as well as her shoulder-mounted scanner. Other PlayStation characters to crop up in Sackboy: A Big Adventure have been Death Stranding's Sam, Ghost of Tsushima's Jin Sakai, Detroit Become Human's Connor, and Day's Gone's Deacon St John.

Ratchet and Clank's latest adventure is already shaping up to be a huge experience for PlayStation 5 owners, with Rift Apart's reviews claiming it's a technical marvel and a solid next step for the seminal PlayStation property. This time around, Ratchet and Clank will go head to head with their nemesis Doctor Nefarious, as the recurring antagonist causes a rift in the space-time continuum. Sucked into a new reality, the pair discover a more powerful Nefarious rules this world as emperor, forcing Ratchet to team up with his alternate-universe counterpart, Rivet, in an effort to stop him. The resulting adventure sees players take control of both Ratchet and Rivet, venturing across wacky new planets while wielding an arsenal of outlandish weapons.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is out now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
